faysalaaa 5,295
Why are people shocked that AI can do things that existed before AI?
Debithius 6,035
This could have been easily animated through software. It is cool but AI isn't some genius mastermind in this scenario. Edited January 19 by Debithius 2 1

dynamite 65,747
On one hand, yes it does look cool and the technology is impressive, but as soon as I suspect that something is AI I completely lose interest. It just feels so wrong and fake. Not interested. On a separate-ish note I also hate AI upscaling which makes videos look like the ****ing Mona Lisa Edited January 19 by dynamite Like a poem said by a neydy in red
Helxig 44,868
This is unfortunately sickening Wait I have to come back and say that the last slide killed it for me because it had her doing the awful 'AI wave and smile'  I've noticed that all the AI videos have the exact same cheesy wave and smile animation that for me has become such an AI tell-tale Edited January 19 by hELXIG I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

It depends how it's utilised. Sure it's resource heavy & is being used to spread misinformation, deepfakes, "slop", etc but at the same time it is a powerful tool that helps humans to learn, improve efficiency & discover new scientific breakthroughs, etc. The thought of AI outpacing human learning which ultimately ends in a Terminator esque apocalypse of society is an abysmal prospect though. It would be more impressive if I knew it was created in Blender or some other more human driven animation software but it is what it is & I thought it was cool nonetheless. 6 hours ago, nATAH said: there is nothing artistic about generative AI, it's actually offensive to compare queer creativity with software that steals I might have worded that wrong. I'm not saying the queer community is the same as AI but I can see why they would enjoy using it as a creative outlet such as in the video I shared. Is using AI the most creative thing ever? No, but in this case it does require the user to have a vision for the end product & be able to interact with it in a way than can get them from A to B.
