Love this except P!nk is deserving of that final tier! Maybe not as a pop artist but pop-rock or something... but P!nk is an artist who has sold out stadiums the last couple tours while only promoting around an album drop and otherwise minding her business. No hate but I really think she deserves her place as a legend!

Only other thing is that you are missing Cher from the legends!

this kind of ranking is senseless, he thinks he's being fair and objective but most of these tiers are entirely arbitrary, and not even valid reasons as to why put some people in certain categories or above others within his own logic, this is just his biased opinions perceived to be somewhat objective, Hierarchies in music and art don't really exist, not even in pop music or celebrity status, i hate all this concepts around D, C, B, A, A+ list celebrities or whatever the ****, all this **** is made up, when did we sneakily start co-opting this Jordan Peterson sort of thinking bullshit again and taking it seriously? It's saddening this is the content that does well in these algorithms, not surprising tho.

and then just saw he posted a follow up video calling people dumb for rightfully calling out the many flaws in his thinking, the arrogance is through the roof...

I never watch this dude’s content because his face and voice simply annoys me and taking the opinions of a literal TAYLOR SWIFT WHITE GAY as anything important is… odd to say the least especially from one who’s a literal child compared to most fans of Pop girls lmfao.

However Beyoncé and Gaga are absolutely legends now they’ve had careers and cultural impact long enough. Also Rihanna is a nostalgia act.

I would personally use ''He makes me crave seeing a million atomic bombs detonated across earth until every single micro-particle is violently anihilated.''

P!nk is a category of her own tbh

Like her music career is 100% hitting nostalgia act territory, especially if she continues phoning in albums. Trustfall was her first album where she wasn't a credited songwriter on at least half the album tracks (7 out of 13 don't credit her). In her 23 year career up to that point she'd been the primary writer on every track or 90% of the album as a minimum with the only exception being her debut album where 6 out of 13 tracks didn't credit her.

But as a performer and a touring act? Hell prior to the post-COVID touring boom, P!nk was the main pop girl of touring. She was doing 100+ multi year tours, swinging from the ceilings. She carved out such a unique niche for herself at a time when it just wasn't really a big thing for pop acts. Only Madonna was ahead of her in the 00s and lets be honest, she had the 20 year headstart.

Also, would anyone actually consider Ethel Cain a "pop girl"? Imo she's way too alternative.

SZA doesn't seem quite in the same league with the rest of Level 6.

Apparently, 6 is where you want to be. Level 7 means you're a permanent A list, but basically over as a pop culture force.

All the 6 girls will get to 7 eventually. But you want your fav to be in 6. It's the peak.

Nope, you got it all wrong. Not every current main pop girl (level 6) will become a legend, some of them could easily downgrade to nostalgia acts, according to the "Swiftologist" methodology at least.

Lana, for example, will eventually become a legend, no doubt about that, and she was never even a main pop girl.

Sales are only half the story when it comes to legacy, streams are even more worthless.

Taylor will be forgotten one day while the rest of the ladies on that list are memorialized in museums and texts for generations to come.

There is literally nothing special about Taylor other than the cult of tasteless stans willing to spend all their parents' money feeding her greed :icant:

Wait, I don't mean to be rude but it is a wholly unrealistic take to suggest that Taylor Swift will be forgotten by future generations - or that there is 'literally nothing' special about her. Of course, you can dislike her as an artist but it's not credible to say that she won't be remembered and hasn't cemented her place in history, alongside (and actually higher than most of) the other artists on the list you quoted.

Putting any subjective opinion on her artistry aside, she will objectively be remembered for:

- Having the biggest tour of all time

- Her industry 'activism' (regardless of any self-serving benefits) - ie: the historic re-recordings project and its impact on record label contracts + her impact on how streaming services compensate artists

- Winning the most Album of The Year awards at the Grammys

- Her prolific writing credits across her entire career (with an entirely self-written album)

- The literally endless chart records she holds (again, you can question the means of how some of them were achieved but they can't be erased from the historical record)

- Her catalogue of undeniable global hits (Love Story, Shake It Off, Blank Space, I Knew You Were Trouble, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, 22, Style, Bad Blood, Look What You Made Me Do, Anti-Hero, Cruel Summer)

People are free to dislike Taylor - of course they are - but it is silly and discrediting of ones own argument to deny facts about her objectively history-making career.

Is she the most talented artist of all time? Absolutely not.

Is the most 'successful'? By some metrics, it could credibly be argued so (far more than any other currently-living artist).

And even if she isn't, will she be remembered as a cultural phenomenon - not artist - in the same vein as Michael Jackson and the Beatles? Yes. There's no way she can't be.

Marina as a Khia Asylum Escapee? Mental institution. Bitch needs a straight jacket.

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

No offense but these lists are kind of pathetic. :icant: Pop divas are truly the sports of the gays.
