Decodekid 29,196
I’m glad Born This Way ended up being the lead cause wdym MTN was intended for the lead? Nothing against it but this was like the one case where the title track had to be a lead without a doubt, given the album’s message and relevance to its title. I totally agree That said, I’m soooo curious to know what it would’ve been like if the lead single was Marry The Night, The Edge Of Glory or Bloody Mary

But have fun convincing yourself “I do my hair, I gloss my eyes, I touch myself all through the night” is a mature lyric ig 🤣 Edited January 14 by Ladle Ghoulash We have forgotten our public MANNERS 1

Head Empty 25,699
Yoü and I would've been a career highlight if they had stuck to the more energetic rock arrangement of The Monster Ball instead of making it more country-infused.

Bold, rebellious, misunderstood, freak, frustration. Hair is quintessential BTW, it aligns with the album’s concept on the same level as Born This Way (Single) same for Bad Kids, Black Jesus, MTN. Lyrics don’t need to be poetic, she’s telling a story, the one us fans related to in the same way she did. “I just I felt like a freak, I guess what I'm trying to say is, I want to liberate them, I want to free them of their fears and make them feel that they can create their own space in the world” Edited January 14 by Decodekid Long Live Gretchen
