This album will release during my commute from work. The way I’m gonna crash my car after hitting play and being slaughtered by this sure masterpiece

I was lucky enough to hear it, and it's a really nice album. It has many high points (Sexo, Violencia y Llantas, Reliquia, Porcelana, Berghain, De Madrugá, La Yugular, Novia Robot...) and other rather low points (La Perla, Focu 'ranni). But it's great that a popular artist dares to release an album like this, without compromising with the demands of “having to make a dance track,” “a hit for TikTok,” or something like that. And for a non-English album to be an event of this magnitude is something to CELEBRATE.

I have probably listened to it 6 or 7 times by now... It really is brillant, it's very different from her previous work, though it reminds me most of an elevated El Mal Querer. There are moments where the switch in languages makes more sense than others.

In short, she's a genius and this record is nothing short of a musical blessing.

As someone who loves her upbeat music, does it have moments of that? Or is it very slow?

It has its moments, but nothing as upbeat as Motomami. As I mentioned earlier, the overall energy is closer to El Mal Querer.

i mean she already did that with her last album, shamelessly catered towards the latin pop machine

Using woodwinds to create the reggaeton style bass line on Porcelana is SICKENING. Loving the way she’s fusing classical instrumentation with modern composition.
