andy232000 11,319
Hi guys! So, basically I'm a creative little monster with a lot of free time and for the past months I have been creating a fanmade concept of what I would do if I could design the Mayhem Ball Tour. It's essentially a mix of The Art of Personal Chaos, some Gesaffelstein tracks of his own, previous live arrangements from other tours and original ideas. You can find all wave file here. All songs were created using the live stems extracted from Gaga's performances, so in essence, these are the closest you'll ever get to actual live studio versions of these songs! Also, the order of songs was carefully chosen to fit a narrative. The premise of the story is the following: The Mistress of Mayhem opens the show revealing herself as a figment, both good and bad, of one's self. A demon that knows our weaknesses but is also -paradoxically- the key to our peace (DISEASE). Mayhem invites the audience to her "Garden", a place filled with indulgence and chaos (GARDEN OF EDEN, ZOMBIEBOY & G.U.Y), as a means to transform us into our most unhinged versions; we lose control of who we are (THE BEAST) As soon as Mayhem achieves her goal, we realize she set us a trap, and that chaos is not all that great (PERFECT CELEBRITY & PAPARAZZI), but we are not giving up easily, cause we crave happiness as part of a human response. Mayhem feels betrayed as we fight back (JUDAS, SCHEIBE, POKER FACE). For a moment, she retrieves and we can -temporarly- live on our own terms (KILLAH, CAN'T STOP THE HIGH). But we soon discover that without chaos, life has little meaning and perhaps the bad things are what make the good things feel good. Our mistakes are not meant to be shameful, but help us evolve (HOW BAD DO YOU WANT ME, HAPPY MISTAKE, BLADE OF GRASS, SHALLOW). We understand that chaos is a drug we cannot escape, and that love is what helps us push through it (LOVEDRUG) Upon this realization, instead of spiraling, we decide to find beauty in the shadows and dance with our personal chaos (SHADOW OF A MAN, MARRY THE NIGHT), and even when we don't want to face them (DON'T CALL TONIGHT, ALEJANDRO), we still recognise them as a part of us. Its a tale of a toxic yet epic relationship with ourselves (BORN THIS WAY, BAD ROMANCE). As the show ends, Mayhem challenges us one more time. she dares us: DANCE OR DIE. Will we chose fear or chose love? (ABRACADABRA). With Mayhem defeated, we learn the lesson intended all along: peace is not the absence of chaos (DIE WITH A SMILE), but rather living surrounded by chaos and finding a way to vanish into love (VANISH INTO YOU). I really hope you guys enjoy it and that this is a cute little project that can bring you joy and finish hyping us up before the actual tour begins. If you're still planning on preping for your show, this is definitly a great option to get familiar with the most recent live arrengments! It is a long show (2 hours), so if you only have time to listen to a few songs, my personal favorites are: Disease, Judas + Scheibe, Lovedrug and Abracadabra. Especially the interludes, which i made 100% from scratch. You can also watch it all together on youtube here: Spoiler ACT I: ACT II: ACT III: ACT IV: ENCORE: TBA Any feedback and comments are greatly appreciated! Hope you enjoy it one last time.
