Taylor Swift is 'not angry' at boyfriend Travis Kelce for describing it as an 'honor' to have Donald Trump at Sunday's Super Bowl, according to sources who say there has been 'no blowout' between the couple over the Kansas City Chiefs star's comments.

Swift and Trump's animosity towards each other is well known, with the President, 78, even going as far as to publicly declare that he 'hates' the singer.

His shocking remark came after Swift publicly endorsed Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential election and said 'we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos'.

Die-hard fans, known as Swifties, were left unimpressed by Kelce's comments, with many flocking to social media to express their disappointment and annoyance that he would speak positively about someone who had disrespected his partner.

Though fans have been left furious, sources have revealed that Swift took no issue with her boyfriend's comments.

'Taylor is not angry at Travis for what he said,' a source exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com. 'Although Travis’s quote was taken as he supports Trump, this is not what Travis said at all.'

Note: when some news outlet refers to "a source" when talking about Taylor Swift, that "source" is usually Tree Paine, her PR manager. So 90% chance this is coming directly from her team

Taylor and Trump could literally fight to the death and you'd still have people on GagaDaily calling her a supporter :toofunny: No better than OGHs.

I could give a damn about Taylor or Travis, but let me pose this question: What would be the outcome if Travis had dissed Trump during that question? Trump would have made it a national headline and overshadowed the game. There’s also a safety issue for all of his teammates. With all these MAGA fans it wouldn’t surprise me if they pulled a stunt that would endanger the lives of fans and players at the event.

Tbh, he could've just said what everyone that's PR-trained would say in that situation: "I'm going to concentrate on the game" or simply "I have no thoughts about it"

I think deep down neither of them dislike Trump, but I also don’t see the issue with what Travis said. He’s there to play football and was asked about the president of the US. Any negative comment would have caused more distraction and division to one of the only things that still unites the country. Would I have said something else? Yes, but I don’t see his response as a huge issue.

Girl have some self respect.

Trump trashed you, stole your image, and faked an endorsement from you and your boyfriend said it's "an honor to have him"?

DUMP HIM.

I don't get how people allow themselves to be disrespected like this :kry: if Trump came for my SO and then wanted to come to my game I'd tell him to kiss my ass.

I'm just like 🧍‍♂️

In response to some of the comments here, he didn’t have to answer negatively, but he was weirdly over enthusiastic about it. :air: Look up Jalen Hurts’ response to the same question as an example to how he could have answered.

Yeah I can't lie, as a big Taylor fan, I hardly agree with her choice of boyfriends (I mean come on...) but this wasn't a huge shock. Aside from the stereotypical view of athletes being... a little politically disengaged and... slightly intellectually delayed, he was hardly going to disavow the president of his country, one known for being a deranged social media user, right before a big game, and put a target on his back in the eyes of one of the biggest (and most aggressive) political movements in the world (one which, probably, makes up a large part of his supporter base).

I don't get why people are only seeing black and white on this issue. The only alternative to saying "it's an honor that Trump is coming" is not "I hate him and I wish he would die already, that old orange fvck". He could've said something like "I'm going to concentrate on the game" and that's it. It was not necessary for him to choose a side. That being said I think he's a Trump supporter, a very stupid one.

It’s wild me to me that the government is about to be coup’d and people are still being neutral about it.

Also ppl may be reading WAY too much into it

U ask a question to a random football player who focuses on athletics not politics and he didnt have time to ponder the question

Its the President so u consider it an honour, this just seems like a casual generic answer he gave without putting much thought in the moment about the political implications. This doesnt necessairily have to mean he supports him politically (and perhaps he would have worded it differently if not put on the spot and had time to think about it)

Maybe not the best answer, but I dont think its thay deep either tbh, Im sure he didnt mean it maliciously.

If someone asked me on National Television out of the blue what I thought of the President attending, despite hating him im not entirely sure how id answer that question on the spot

To me it seems he is dignifying the position of the President without endorsing him.

Athletes have always done this - sure he could twist this to turn the superbowl into a political game, but that’s not a players’ stake.

And not one his gf would like. She’ll sing about it vaguely instead ;-)
