Noam Zioni 1,166
I remember when Gaga talked about Joanne the same way, about the album having many genres. ARTPOP had a mix of genres too. Even though having this mix of genres, the albums sounded cohesive and pretty much in line with the whole body of work. Just a thought to pass the time until we get an announcement - I’m sure the album will sound cohesive, but do you think LG7 will have bolder differences between songs? 1
chathonnete 423
I feel like she insists about the difference of genres with LG7 more than any other projects in the past but I'm not worried about it. I'm just a bit worried about how she'll blend DWAS in the album as it seems so different from the atmosphere she teasing since + a year
DrKindnessKunt1999 5,746
I feel like it’s going to be different extremes since she’s working on more industrial music, which she experienced with in the past (ex. Swine, Government Hooker) but not in the extreme that she seems to be teasing for LG7. She also mentioned DWAS fitting into the album which hints that there might be more organic influences in the album, instrumentally, too. I trust Gaga that the songs won’t sound out of place because she has a great track record. Kayi 1,239
The snippets + the "lead" that we heard are mostly electro but has different vibes. Abra is heavy EDM. DITS is synthpop, new wave. NB Industrial. Zombified is funky Darkwave. Garden of Eden is probably synthpop. Disease is techno, industrial, electroclash. Maybe there's songs with Jazz influences, maybe some who incorporate Metal or Opera genres. Maybe I'm delulu cause I'm fan of her since 2020/2021, it's the first time that I'm waiting a big album release so I might be delulu. I know that some have been tricked by her pasts interviews... I'm here to take a break from university homeworks :/ 2
2School4Cool 6,044
I feel like this album is going represent Gaga herself, she always says once you think you know who she is she goes and does something completely different and unpredictable. The album I think will do just that, start out cohesive to some extent, and just when you think you have it figured out it’ll flip itself on its head and be different and unpredictable. This is why I truly believe DWAS will fit the theme and vision of the album and why I’m not worried about it being on the same album as Disease See The Best In Everyone
Reality 72,180
I think she'll explore different genres and really push what she's able to do as a mainstream pop artist. Obviously, the album will still be considered "pop," but I think—maybe hope, rather—that she pushes the boundaries as much as possible when it comes to the chaos of the album. She said multiple times while promoting Harlequin and the TCB film that she felt "free" making this music and wanted to break genres. We see that in the Harlequin album and Disease. Both those projects sound very different than anything else she's done before, even down to the way she sings (her Santa Claus is Coming to Town cover is also very different than her previous work). From the snippets, it sounds like she's pushing what she can do and still be considered "mainstream pop music." Notorious Being and Abracadabra, especially. I hope she really experiments and lets loose with LG7. I'm ready to embrace the chaos 𝕀𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕒 𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕟𝕖𝕣, 𝕀 𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕞𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕓𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕖𝕧𝕖
HotLikeMexico 4,537
I’m hoping she’s not lying about an album with different genres. Everyone keeps crying about a lack of cohesion or worried songs of different genres won’t meld well especially with DWAS being added on. But there are quite a few albums like this that blend genres that are incredible bodies of work. I think it would be exciting to see even bolder differences between the songs on LG7 compared to previous albums, as long as it still makes sense to the listener. I'm sure that whatever Gaga does, it's going to be amazing! Find your freedom in the music
Panchecco 17,420
I think it could potentially be the least coheasive project in terms of sound but I feel she might have been inspired by a main theme. Both DWAS and Disease despite being two very different song thematically and sonically they have this very dark symbology. Last day on earth and inner demons tormenting you I feel she will truly embrace her shapeshifting abilities with this record and that will be the drive for the aesthetic and music.. Which gets me so excited because it feels like it's really gonna be unpredictable
