You'll enjoy it! Don't read up ahead on that twist!

Oh, I meant to my list of comfort horror movies. I've watched it numerous times since I was a kid. The twist always feels fresh no matter how many times I've watched it.

Something something idk

Incantation has been my comfort movie for a while now. It’s always the movie that I recommend we watch as a friend group for those who haven’t seen it.

I usually don't like 'found footage' movies but the ending really brought it home for me.

I loved seeing "her". :nooo: It was so unnerving and intriguing at the same time.

A lot of great movies on this thread! My top horror movie of all time which I can watch over and over has got to be 'Ju-On: The Grudge'.

The original Japanese is my favorite but I've also watched the American adaptations part 1, 2, 3, the 2019 remake 'The Grudge' AND the TV show from 2020 'Ju On: Origins'. You can find the recent two on Netflix. :hor:

Then 'A Tale of Two Sisters'. I think I watched it a really long time ago as a kid but when I rewatched it in like 2018 or so it quickly became one of my top horror movies. (You'll notice the plot has been adapted to other movies as well)

And lastly, a bit campy but very disturbing, 'House on Haunted HIll'. Loved it when I was young and still great on rewatch.

Some other picks which I really like -

Do the old Aliens movies count? I guess it's technically sci-fi horror.

Most of the Aliens movies are hilariously bad, but there's something comforting about them to me.

I’d say Alien definitely counts! The original is an absolute favorite of mine and I also find the series to be comforting. Resurrection is such a strange one and really makes me giggle.

Never really thought about comfort ones instead of favourite ones but I'd say:

Scream 1 and 4

IT 2017

The Strangers

Final Destination 3

Triangle is one of the greatest movies period :legend:

i watch these quite often for comfort. not a movie, but i also rewatch certain seasons of AHS and Black Mirror. although, BM is more of a suspense thriller type of situation
