I love it. It's everything I was waiting for. My favorite without a doubt is King Of Heart. Thanks Kim for this amazing album!! :firega:

On my first listen I think it does feel like just a compilation of songs but I also believe some people are being way too harsh with it.

uhoh, Claws and Minute were the clear standouts for me. Is it me or King of Hearts sounds like it could be an Ava Max song? It really reminds me of her

Its not a fedora u f*ck

So she took forever to make this 'debut' even though she has several other albums out and this critic describes it as 'rushed'?? Ouch.

Clarity was a mixtape + Turn Off the Light was a collection of 2 EPs (and it's a holiday record nonetheless) + The Summer I Couldn't Do Better was a playlist/compilation by her label to capitalize on her old droplets era going semi-viral

But yeah; she's been trying to make a debut album since she came onto the scene :rip: "Feed the Beast" has probably only been a thing for a year, created as a shoddy last ditch effort after her label rejected 2 other concepts last year

I think the label pushed for an album once Unholy went number 1. Then it probably solidified it when they won the Grammy.

Claws >>>>> the entire album. The cover and name could’ve been a fun return to the darker sound but nah.

She needs to go back to the TOTL style cuz she absolutely destroyed it in the best way possible

The track listing really does a huge disservice to the album. There is no thematic or sonic flow which is part of what made a project like Turn Off The Light memorable. I’ve been playing with track orders all day trying to fix it and I finally settled on this.

1) Feed The Beast

2) Uhoh

3) King of Hearts

4) Alone (2.0)

5) Sex Talk

6) Coconuts

7) Hit It From The Back

8) Bait

9) Brrr

10) Revelations

11) Minute

12) Claws

13) Thousand Pieces

14) Castle in The Sky

15) Unholy (but tbh doesn’t count cause it’s a bonus track)

I feel like if this was the order of the album it may be received a bit better. There is certainly still a lack of cohesion from the fact that this album was assembled out of several projects, but truly this is the best way I feel like it could potentially have a better flow.

I don’t understand the connection with the album title and visuals to the actual sound of the music. Nonetheless, I like the album! I just don’t think it’s that cohesive, but that’s okay!
