She's a very close friend of the Smith family. There's no way she would risk her friendship with them which is not to invalidate her argument, but just to point out her dynamics with the Smith family.

Don’t see how it’s relevant to how she perceived the subtext of the joke. She didn’t need to say all that if she wanted to be neutral or supportive. 

My point is, the entire video is white people clutching their pearls at the “angry black man” and defending Chris Rock, not one person has any concern for how Jada felt being humiliated in front of the whole world. It’s just very very telling.

The thing is, it is not appropriate to smack someone in the face, let alone in a professional setting like the Oscars.

That's because Jada didn't get to say anything. And she chose not tonsay anything. Will Smith and Chris Rock literally erased her existence and perspective from the whole thing. Jada didn't ask Will to smack Chris. She didn't ask any man to "defend her honour".

Anyway, both Chris and Will are wrong. So, picking any side is a mistake in my my opinion.

That’s well established. I have never defended that. But what Chris Rock did was disgusting and no one is condemning him for it and going so far as to blame Jada for the whole thing.
