Ive always found beyonce to be an industry puppet, everything seems so rehearsed i always felt a lack of authenticity. her streaming and the record sales dont match her pop culture presence either i feel like rihanna had more iconic music. people liked to compare her to MJ but shes nowhere as impactful or iconic and in terms of vocals i think mariah and whitney both beat her in terms of sales and just respect from those who study singing/vocal technique. i saw her at coachella and you cant say shes talented because she is a great dancer and singer but ive always felt a disconnect, mostly because her fans act like she invented music and performing. She has plenty of iconic singles: Crazy in love, single ladies, formation, drunk in love etc. She impacted the music industry and how people manage album rollouts a lot more than she's credited for.
