Stephen 30,423 Posted January 4, 2022 Share Posted January 4, 2022 Definitely Lil Nas/Doja/Olivia were the big players of 2021 I would say in that order but I guess it depends what you listen to, where you live, your age, etc. For some teenagers Olivia might be the clear #1 while I probably streamed her 4 or 5 times the whole year. That brings us to either Olivia or Lil Nas X. I voted for Olivia even though I feel both of them are the MPGs of 2021. Even though Olivia has the hype because young kids live their lives online therefore it makes her and other artists in that demo more relevant, I think Doja Cat is the one actually being consistent and affecting culture though.
