Disgraced drag race star Sherry Pie returns to nyc nightlife

In full drag last night, Sherry Pie was at Uncle Charlie’s Piano Lounge. The pictures on Uncle Charlie’s  Instagram page show Sherry on mic, mugging it up for the cameras with patrons, and seemingly performing for the crowd that was at the bar.

I reached out to Uncle Charlie’s late today and spoke with Joseph who identified himself as the manager. He let me know that Sherry was “hired as a singing telegram by a customer” for a “customer’s birthday”. I asked if she was hired by the venue, and he stated that she was not. When I asked how long she stayed at the venue, Joseph indicated “a couple of hours”. At the conclusion of our call, I asked Joseph if he was aware who Sherry Pie was or did he know of any of the charges against her, and he stated that he did not.

I feel totally out of touch. I looked it up and I can’t really find anything concrete, but why does everyone hate this queen so much? Genuine question.

TL;DR: Out of drag he lured actors to audition for roles/plays using a pseudonym, and made them submit very explicit tapes. The roles weren’t real and he was using them to get off.

Got that part, and I’m not saying sexual deviant behaviour is right on any levels but to what degree exactly is she a sex offender?  I’m just confused on what exactly she did..

Everyone makes mistakes. As long as she recognizes it, learns from it, and doesn’t do it again…then she deserves a second chance. 

I don’t believe in cancel culture.

So you want R Kelly forgiven too then? And all the other rapist out there? Do you know how the victims would feel to see their molesters walking free and redeemed? Perhaps you didn't think that far, did you?

Alright I read that entire article. Just out of curiosity, do we know exactly what kind of sexual acts they were told to do? Was it anything illegal or anything that we know about? Again, makes no difference. Just genuinely curious how deep and dark this gets.

I actually did. I work in counseling, and while I want to make it clear, I do not agree nor do I believe those kind of actions were right, people deserve a second chance to redeem themselves. Humans are complex, the mind is complex. 

So @RAMROD if you committed or did something that was extremely wrong, you would be okay being condemned for the rest of your life?

You do realize sexual inappropriateness/ Sex offenders are blacklisted for the rest of their lives in the USA, are subjected to unjust living quarters and can’t find employment, but convicted felons/murders, after release are not held to that standard.
