Are Monsters the most damaged fanbase ever?

Sometimes I wish she would actually do a sit down with her fans (the way Taylor does) and explore our feelings. 

 

I mean...maybe she just doesn't know because she has asked her label/team to blind her from that. 

 

She definitely does not seem to be in control of everything like she used to be. Like...I know it's ultimately about the music but when Gaga came out she deliberately said she was not just a musician but an artist of the entire package. More and more it seems like her image has become calculated by the machine and less by her. And you can see that. She wears things unironically now that you can just tell don't have her artistic dna in it. 

 

Sometimes it feels like she is just sailing and hitting these "career checkpoints" rather than organically releasing great art...mainstream or not. Even her "non commercial" stuff at times still feels very "set up to be commercial". 

 

I'd just like her to let go and get messy and have fun with her fans again. Chromatica should have allowed that, and that's sad.
