She just had bleached brows last year. She has evolved out of that avant garde phase etc. I don't think it's that she's catering to the GP bc I don't think the Chromatica aesthetic was aimed at that demographic. She's doing what she wants to do abd why repeat what she's done before?

She is one of the biggest stars of all time, one of the wealthiest people in the world, she is hugely respected and has contacts with everyone in the fashion and entertainment industries. She works with her friends and seems to have an extremely supportive team. It seems like she's too scared to embrace the megastar "Gaga" that she is. It's like she's ashamed of how successful and powerful she is, so she holds herself back and tries to not acknowledge it. She wants to be some humble girl next door but now she's too attached to the comfort and wealth to give up on the industry. She's scared to fire her friends or tell them to improve. And I guess she feels bad maybe that anything she does might take attention away from real world issues (which I respect).

I just wish she would stop trying to make herself smaller and seem more humble than she is. She worked hard to get to this point, I wish she would embrace it and make the most of it. I think Beyoncé is a great example of how to do it.

Stop canceling/delaying things. Utilize digital and social media to your benefit (live stream shows, digital only release, tease more leading up to the album instead of 2 yrs before ) release live shows/tours. Surprise album or projects. More visual content. How, in 2021, has Gaga not made a visual album yet? I really don't understand. She's such a visionary and apparently is making music all the time. Where? Acoustic/Stripped album of her previous work, documentary on making album(s), more experimental music, (as it's been stated before) changing the style of songs instead of just verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus. Solo jazz or piano album. Etc.

She's iconic and an amazing woman, just wish she delivered more music content than makeup.

On song structure I hear that. She started a little with Chromatica and Joanne but axing some parts of songs but it didn’t feel like experimentation and more like streamlining her typical formula, if that makes sense? Like 9/11 is still VERY retro Gaga despite not having a second verse. It’s a typical Gaga song sans a second verse lol

for comparison for someone on a similar level, I just got into Madonna’s Ray of Light and honestly? I understand why it’s regarded so well. She really put herself into the position to blow the roof off of her pop formula with it and innovate.

Now, Gaga did a little in BTW where the songs had the same structure BUT the production was super distinctive for the most part. So it doesn’t have to just be structure.

I don't know if it's a label thing, a personal thing where Gaga wants everything to be picture perfect or what but I feel like she scraps so many things. Paparazzi trilogy, ARTPOP II or just some songs that were gonna make the track list (I think a song called "Tea" was teased at one point),

Or general just her big visions that don't always see the light of day. I know they're there but we just never see it. It's this aspect in which I wish Gaga were more like Taylor Swift. The teasing, the intricate hints and Easter eggs, the behind the scenes (e.g. song demos on the DLX version of 1989), full-length documentaries describing the creative process (long pond sessions on Disney+), songs from the Vault etc.

I think Gaga mentioned in one interview how she writes music almost every day (this info is probably outdated), but I just wish we could see more of that. I know we've seen glimpses of the Joanne creative process I just wish we had more.

Being "too" nice, it is good to be kind and compassionate, but sometimes she does seem like a doormat. Also holding herself back in her talents.

I agree, I love that shes doing other ventures, however I would love a visual album, I honestly thought that Chromatica would be one tbh (still love the album tho, it has saved my life)

She should only work on what she’s truly passionate about.

One of the issues and criticism is that Gaga is not promoting her music to the general public if she does not want it to be heard it cannot become a cultural reset even if it's a awesome song and when I say promotion I am talking about chromatica the era was okay but the promo was low key not even there we got like 4 performances and just a interview and the weather girl series she spent most of her time in haus labs and if she made a MV Sour Candy the whole album could have stayed in top 10 for atleast 10 weeks

TFM, BTW and ARTPOP, all have a set of storylines and storytelling, it's all there, you just have to catch them. It's not a regular storytelling and not as evident and straight forward as taylor swift's song stories, it relies more in thematics and abstractions, gaga is a theater kid and she knows how tell stories in different, metaphoric and uncommon ways, with her fashion, with her performances and videos, and of course with her tours which are practically the theater, specially the BTWBT

This is true and I didn't think of it this way, but I still think they are moreso ideas and themes that she is communicating as opposed to a story there.
