Gaga criticisms?

The little Metallica era should have lasted longer and she should have explored the rock and metal genres for her next album. I'm happy we got Chromatica but I often wonder if she was inspired to do a rock/metal influenced album but then lost the inspiration for it.

My point is just that the execution is not really good enough for someone of her level. The Stupid Love video for example, why do the costumes look so cheap and why is it so terribly edited? The concept was there, there was enough ambition to think of all the tribes and the overall story, but she was too scared to tell the costume team/editors/directors "this isn't good enough".

I hardly think she has given up. I think that is quite harsh. We have no idea of what is going on in her world, what she is working on, what she is going through, what she wants to do, etc.

I personally adored the SL video, but I do think you have a point in that the execution of her works can be messy and a bit all over the place, especially when compared to the flawless releases of Taylor's works (taking into account the release rollout, promotion, the quality of the work, the lack of leaks prior to releases). I don't know who is responsible for the messy release rollouts for Gaga, but that is something they definitely need to fix in future because it proved to be a MASSIVE issue in the Chromatica era.

She is one of the biggest stars of all time, one of the wealthiest people in the world, she is hugely respected and has contacts with everyone in the fashion and entertainment industries. She works with her friends and seems to have an extremely supportive team. It seems like she's too scared to embrace the megastar "Gaga" that she is. It's like she's ashamed of how successful and powerful she is, so she holds herself back and tries to not acknowledge it. She wants to be some humble girl next door but now she's too attached to the comfort and wealth to give up on the industry. She's scared to fire her friends or tell them to improve. And I guess she feels bad maybe that anything she does might take attention away from real world issues (which I respect).

I just wish she would stop trying to make herself smaller and seem more humble than she is. She worked hard to get to this point, I wish she would embrace it and make the most of it. I think Beyoncé is a great example of how to do it.

Well with Evermore fans kind of knew about it so it wasnt that shocking like with Folklore..Other artists manage to lock their stuff till the release date:Like Halsey shot her album cover in March and it didn’t leak.I think with Taylor everything is super locked up

She mollycoddled this fandom too much at the beginning. She keeps saying it's a kind community when it isn't. One look on twitter or on this board can tell you that. She attracted a demographic/fanbase that shade and drag each other for fun and that's transferred onto her and they have no trouble saying it with their whole chest even when Gaga follows them. Sometimes they just say it to get attention and likes etc but a lot of it stems from them not understanding or appreciating her as an artist.

She as an artist and as a person is one of a kind, her active online fandom just sucks and is a huge part of why she doesn't interact much any more. The irony is the little complainers cannot grasp that.

Actually I don't hate anyone. I'm here because I'm a fan of hers and don't see the point in being here if all I have to offer is criticism of a singer I'm supposed to be fan of. So I'll turn that question right back on you. 

Also, you being mad at me for defending her amuses the hell out of me. I'm not going to apologise for actually liking and appreciating an artist and recognising that she's an adult who can make her own decisions about her career.

It makes me sad some of her fans are so critical of her. She said several times last year how she got to a point where she didn’t want to be lady Gaga anymore. Girls clearly tired of being a pop star 24/7. To me, it seems like she’s re finding her passion in her work again. But it’s not what we were all used to for all of these years. But dang I’m sure she’s enjoying working, and not overworking to the point of exhaustion. Just my two cents.

Personally I wish she'd do the opposite and just be more clear about what's going on. Just rough ideas about what her general public plans are for the year or whatever. Maybe casually mention if she's filmed a music video or recorded something, like most artists do. Not everything needs to be a complete secret with constant dead silence.

I would say that she teased LG6 for a very long time in the run up, like several years of hinting via IG etc. It was the same thing before Joanne and fans start building this idea of scrapped albums and everything like that, I just don’t think it serves a purpose except winding fans up when certain things don’t happen. 
 

I’m not so bothered about needing transparency from her, maybe some artists are like that but many huge artists keep things quiet until it’s necessary (ie Beyoncé, Adele etc).
