How is it good? :bear:

I don't smoke tobacco so I can't speak to that, but I do smoke marijuana every day to help manage my anxiety (and I'm sure there are plenty of people that smoke cigarettes for similar reasons). Of course smoking isn't good for you physically - but if you use it to help with overwhelming anxiety, for instance, the mental benefit can outweigh the physical detriment. For me, I'd rather have 60 good years with my anxiety under control and the ability to really live, vs 80 years feeling frozen with severe anxiety. It's a trade off, with neither option being ideal. I'm always working on practicing other ways to help my anxiety that aren't smoking, but if I didn't smoke to help calm my anxiety to begin with, I wouldn't have the capacity to then work on myself in other ways.

Ughhh. Smoking is the one thing I hate and wish Gaga didn't do it. She has such an incredible voice and smoking really does ruin a voice.

Let's hope its a joint or a clove cigar... cause girl, I'm sick of seeing her ruin her health like that :bradley:

I'm a smoker and is SO hard to quit. I'm sure Gaga would prefer to quit it once and for all but it's not as easy as people might think, specially for those who don't smoke (which is fng awesome).

That's sad and disappointing. Thankfully while she's a good singer she's not really known for her voice so as it continues to decline it shouldn't have too big of an impact on her career. However, her the impact on her health and lungs will be big of course.

I know the idea isn’t what people constantly shoot on our minds all the time with the anti-tobacco rhetoric . But it actually is an instant rewarding tranquilliser. If you under stress it may calm you down .

There’s also something called therapy and prescription medication :ohwell:

I have anxiety so when I get really stressed I have an anti-anxiety pill I can take that won’t ruin my health or give me cancer.

Now the widespread availability and normalization of cigarettes versus taboo  nature and lack of access to mental health services is a whole other conversation and reason why we must be vocal and fight for greater mental healthcare.

I totally agree with you that we should have greater and cheaper (!) access to mental health therapies.

But I won't accept Gaga or anyone to be pointed out if they decide that to smoke is good for them at a certain time. After all it is still their personal decision.

Nowadays, we rely on pills. Before it was on God.

Things change and all can be understood if seen from another one's shoes.

Sis just invest in a dry herb vaporiser. They extract just as much from the weed without creating smoke. You can have the same effects without affecting your health at all

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

i’ve been thinking of getting one, but fearing that they would burn faster and waste weed. also there’s CBD weed with no THC which would actually suit me better as if I have a gram of weed oh boy you won’t see it in two days :laughga:

There's evidence they actually extract more of the actives by vaporising them with heat, because when you ignite it you're actually burning some of them off! But I'm not an expert on the subject. I feel like smoking a bowl the same size in my pipe or my vaporizer gives me the same effect    I just don't get an awful dry, scratchy throat

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
