  1. 1. Which Babylon version would you choose as single?

    • I like the album version!
    • I prefer the instrumental that was teased to us with the Haus Labs videos

Babylon is one of the Gaga songs that sound like a hit but the lyrics are not relatable for the GP. The instrumental, the sax, the choir vibe is just iconic and catchy. I love the song regardless

I would personally go with the album version!

The only cool thing about the instrumental Hauslabs version is the beginning of the song... like the first part... you should cut that into the album version and then continue the song with the album version.

Gosh.. does that make any sense? lol

this.... I want to feel the instrumental of the HL version in the beat... but I love the choir (please add more of them and with their own acapella part for the chorus to really give it soul) and 90’s vibe of the album version. And I want the bowie strings....

I wish exactly the same! HL beat, more gospel choir, 90's chicago house vibe and funky bowie strings.
But I think it's complicated to make something listenable and cohesive with all this directions, except if we have a 10" club version

Now from reading all the comments... I think we all mean the same...

the coolest part from the Haus Labs version is the beginning with that hard cool beat right?

So for instance this one (the first 30 seconds)

And then I would go into the album version with the choir and sax and everything.. it´s just heaven!

What? I relate to it so much... I even thought about getting a tattoo with the lyrics. O.O

Everybody in life has to deal with gossip... people will always talk about u behind your back or even talk bad about u publicly. And life will always be a ****ing battle that you have to go through. For anyone, no matter what you´re dealing with.

So I think many people (who understand the song and the lyrics) will relate. And even if not, the song and the sound is just too good, so people won´t even care and just enjoy listening to it, cuz it´s freaking good.

The meaning/theme of the song is relatable but I don't think GP would click with "serve it ancient city style", "party like it's B.C." , "pretty sixteen century smile",  "battle for your life in babylon" etc  :selena:

People ususally only pay attention to the chorus... and I know a lot of people who don´t care at all about the lyrics of a song. :D

The "we can party like it´s B.C." could be a freaking home run... it could also mean "party like it´s before Corona/Covid" How fitting :ladyhaha:

Imagine the Tik Tok serves when they hear the chorus, I can feel a vogue trend coming if the song gained more relevancy by that kind of demographic.

well, it‘s hugely 90s vogue/ballroom inspired. And with gay culture going mainstream it has a better shot at being successful than most of chromatica. because it’s relatable, fresh and gay af.
