What is the likelihood of the 25th Amendment happening?

There are people resigning and backing away from Trump now, but realistically with such little time left, do we think it will happen?

Section 4 of the amendment, which is the section they're talking about invoking, has never been invoked before, so it certainly would be unprecedented. And with this kind of administration, I wouldn't be totally surprised if it happened, just because of how unprecedented this entire presidency has been.

That said, I don't think it'll happen. It should, but I don't think it will.

I’m scared it won’t. I heard tomorrow at noon, Pelosi is about to have a meeting about how serious everyone is about impeaching the president again. This is ten times worse than his last impeachment, so I have hope they’ll go thru with it. If the 25th is not invoked soon, the House is coming to impeach the president on Monday. Yes, it’s worth it. He should be removed ASAP, even minus one day is good enough, especially since MAGA stans are ALREADY planning a mess on Jan19th. Plus, if he’s impeached again, he cant run in 2024.

I had a question about the impeachment. So if the House does impeach him again, it'll move to the Senate. But are the senators who are going to vote on that the ones currently in office, or do Ossoff and Warnock get a vote? Or do they not because (to my knowledge at least), they're not sworn in?

But how long would the impeachment take? They'd have to have hearings again right?

I believe that they can do it over night? Or at least within a day? Saw that in one of AOCs tweets. So I guess there would be time left?

I don‘t think its gonna happen but I do think it is more likely then last time

I don’t know, the deadline is January 22nd. But I think they might be rushed to be certified at least before Monday, given the new circumstances.

Here’s a article for reference:   https://www.11alive.com/mobile/article/news/politics/when-will-warnock-ossoff-be-sworn-in/85-a6075050-fa52-4479-82f0-680ce153d37f

Even if the senate doesn’t remove him, if he’s impeached, as he was last time, despite not being removed, his 2024 aspects are cancelled.

I don’t know. The last time it took so long because of investigations. This time, the facts are all out there to bare. There is no law as to how long an impeachment can take, but they gonna have to Roman Holiday it real fast. January 19th is less than 2 weeks away.

EDIT:

Oh, I didn't know about that last part. So even if he's not removed, he still can't run in 2024? Then this is a no brainer. They should draw up those articles ASAP

Something needs to happen.

This man still has our nuclear codes. People around him are resigning left and right...I hope there is still enough checks and balances in place as long as he's in office.
