Joanne is more creative than Chromatica

I think what motivated the OP's post is what I've already said here before: Joanne was a strange, even unlikable, album for Gaga and pop music fans but the way she poured her energy and soul into the music, performances, and promo made it feel alive and likable. Had she treated it like Chromatica's era, it would've flopped hard.

Chromatica on the other hand, is surprisingly her most personal album yet -- as for the first time she addresses her pain and struggles clearly without hiding them behind many strong veils of artistic metaphors. But it just doesn't feel as creative because the production is very safe and mainstream, and Gaga hasn't done any promo to bring the music to the "next level" like she usually does. (Imagine SL or ROM piano acoustic?)

That's what is causing this weird feeling we're having right now.

You’re confusing “filler” with “song I don’t like”. Americano deals pretty much with the whole point she’s trying to make with the album title.

A filler is a song that I don't like. Every Album has one or more fillers because the fans don't like them or think they don't fit on the album. The whole point of a filler as a song that is only on the album to make it longer or to fulfil a contract technically does not exist.

Lol let's be real here. Joanne is a marketing strategy to bring Gaga back into the GP's favor. It had to be "stripped down" not because Gaga wanted it but because the GP is tired of her being overcreative. Joanne is a really good album, and had its impact on other pop artists a couple of years after. But Chromatica is still more creative because Gaga didn't have the constraints she had with Joanne. Chromatica doesn't sound the same through all of its tracks for no reason too. It's called being cohesive bb.

There's been a long time since I played a song from Joanne, it is a good album. But Chromatica becomes my second favourite album behind TFM, there's so much power in those songs, for me there's only one song I dislike from chromatica and that's it. While there's half of Joanne I'm not a fan of.
