ThisGuyTony 29,759
It wasn’t a generic EDM, Zedd song like The Middle and Stay.
Guest
The video being a homage to Bravo TV was so cringe. The only good part about the video was the beginning when she was a fallen angle and the executives were all about the money, and that hot look she had in that red outfit. Massive Monster 5,003
4 hours ago, Genuine Guy 09 said: It was only monsters that thought it was amazing lol GP would've heard it and thought 'wtf'. A bit like Replay... GP taste is not the same as liddo taste I think a lot of the GP would dig or already dig Replay. It's very disco, an accessible style. I don't want to make a Madonna comparison but it could be compared to Hung Up (which is basically ABBA's Gimme Gimme remixed). The GP digs old made into new. Kind regards
ARTGOD 3,266
Well it has almost 200 million views on YouTube, we can rewrite history and pretend it was a hit, the GP won’t know . OT: It flopped for many reasons and none have anything to do with the actual song.
Decodekid 28,088
Well it was released when everyone was already done with Gaga, plus that video was a mess Long Live Gretchen
steven 5,887
Because it was the beginning of her downfall and then C2C came.
Sexxx 5,623
she should have released Sexxx Dreams
Neroneau 1,013
When I have the aux and I play the few Gaga tunes I think a gathering of people can enjoy, GUY is always popular.. but the lyrics are so non GP friendly, no matter how fun the metaphors are 😝😝
Neroneau 1,013
Wow suddenly a lot pipeline don’t like the song or the video
alecks 744
Probably because it was released too long after the album release and too long after the previous single. And everyone on this site is still thirsty for a SC video as if it wouldn’t have the same fate...
GenericPhag 143
It was simply DOA. The era was a PR disaster, Gaga was far past overexposed at that point, the public heavily disliked her, and there wasn't much promo for it. They could have pushed any song at that point and it would have flopped.
RRR 3,996
I think the better question is, Why was G.U.Y. released?
Edu 3,961
It’s pretty self explanatory lol 🌹 free britney 🌹
Chris Thomason 963
I think the chorus let the song down. I love G.U.Y but that chorus could have been so much more
r4therupbeat 1,587
because she dropped the video after a hiatus and people have had already moved on from the era. even with the amazing mv that it had it made 0 noise EDIT: also the sound was soo dated, gaga used to be ahead of music trends up until she released the BTW remixes and ARTPOP. after Joanne she was in a league of her own once again
