Yes, it's so amazing that she uses her platform to speak out on topics like that, but she needs to draw a line between activism and her pop career. They can co-exist. She takes herself way too seriously.

I just dont expect anything else from this era. I love the album and I wish we had a full era with more singles and more performances but this is what we got...   I dont know if we should blame the pandemic or her depression, I dont care, the result is the same: not much promo.

I hope  next time it will be better.

Idk maybe it’s that „satanic“ image, the Pizzagate or the Adrenochrome bullshit that really made her a target for „insensitive this, insensitive that“... it’s like people are just waiting for her to do something wrong or to cancel her 🤷🏻‍♂️ and the behavior of some monsters especially on twitter is not helping the situation at all unfortunately

For Gaga it’s really important to be a true activist and to share her opinion...If she dropped the mv I don’t think LMS would have cancelled her more like we’d have gone into craziness...she’s more concerned about the GP opinion,cuz she knows very well that she has to “make up for the silence” and knows that we would go wild and won’t “cancel” her

We don’t need to wait for a Utopian society, we just have to wait for the global pandemic to be in the rear view window and for the peaceful transition of power between US presidential administrations. Gaga has always been politically aware and active. Expecting her to focus on music rn is messy. I wasn’t expecting anything until late January anyway.

September and October were not normal... COVID was spiking again all across the country, we had the heated mess of weekly debates that only led to more turmoil all around. End of October is when Gaga began her public endorsement for Biden... 

With Gaga being such a power house with activism this year, she can’t just turn the tables and release videos and pop music cause her fans want it... EVERYONE (GP and fans) will drag her and call her social work performative and her career will turn down hill. She’s smart. And she knows this. She knows if she is gonna commit to activism, she has to commit whole-heartedly. 

Any other artist who has been releasing this year hasn’t been on Gaga’s level of activism so they aren’t going to be called out as severely. They can release and perform and do the promo without any serious repercussions to their career.

Of course it will stay, but I hardly expect serious promotion until the vaccine rollout reaches more US citizens and the daily death count begins dropping. The idea that Gaga should release more music when she can’t properly promote and has other career obligations in 2021 is just a mess. Gaga is not a just a singer anymore and fans are in for a rough few years if they don’t accept that.

I agree. She should drop new music when the death counts are dropping and promotion is more easy to do. But she should at least drop a mv for Sour Candy before that
