Glamourpuss 29,062
Given the circumstances I think it was a good era. I do think that perhaps she could have squeezed one or two more live performances into the era somehow but I can understand why she hasn't. I always try to think of the struggles she faces with her health issues and the time she mentioned in an interview that she felt suicidal and unable to make music until Bloodpop encouraged her. She also said she doesn't enjoy fame. Now the music is here it doesn't mean she's fully healed and ready to face the world and ready to dominate pop culture as the world's biggest popstar again. I think this year was the perfect time for her to scale it back and let the music speak for itself. There's no pressure on her (apart from some fans) so she can take this time to heal and come back stronger.
Reality 73,987
Talking about the Chromatica era has always been difficult for me because I can completely understand and side with both arguments. Obviously, I don't think that Gaga dislikes or doesn't care about Chromatica. She cares about all of her albums and we know for a fact that if this pandemic hadn't happened, this era would've been spectacular. There were so many plans that just fell by the wayside because there was just no way she could do the stuff she wanted to. And in terms of the aesthetics and visuals, I would say that Chromatica's definitely up there, even with the little visuals we do have of the era. So to anyone saying, "she doesn't care anymore," that's just simply not true. She cares deeply about her projects—about all of her projects—but for some reason, she just didn't do enough for Chromatica. On top of that, it doesn't really matter what she does because monsters forget it the next week and then complain, "WHERE'S LG7, 8, 9, 10, 11, etc.?!". Sometimes, it's just never enough for people, even if she does promote the era. That said, I don't think anyone can deny that this is objectively Gaga's worst era. The album itself is phenomenal, but the album =/= era. We've only got one performance, limited photoshoots, limited interviews, not as many social media posts, etc. The era is effectively just limping along until she finishes the Chromatica Ball (whenever that's going to happen), and I don't think it's completely fair for people to mock or look down upon others for an objectively less-than-stellar era. At this point, we can only hope that things pick up near the Chromatica Ball. Because I honestly don't know what she can do now to keep people interested until that happens. ᗰᗩYᕼEᗰ || 🦇👹🖤
r4therupbeat 1,587
it's my favourite era no matter what. her best album cover, her most cohesive album, Skip-free for me. Also the visuals are amazing from the beginning. Gaga is Gaga and if she does not want to promote or fire people from her team(friends) and continue to loose fans I guess but I will live forever in Chromatica

She sees that the public and critics still praise her voice and her songwriting even though it's extremely personal and vulnerable. She's still got it! Of course there's a lot of other things that bother her, but that's already a step forward!
Kadikaado 4,302
Look, there's no era yet. I agree with most you've said. We had quality, but we need content. GaGa Radio was amazing, I wish we had more of it. I didn't like the vocals in the VMA performance, sorry. Gaga can do so much better than that. I love this album so much, the mental health works for me because I am an autistic person and I felt represented. It resonated with me really deep. I just wanted more from her. All those silences are deafining. She released an amazing album and gone missing. That's sad. Like people said Dua and Miley are working a lot and delivering quality content. I just hope Gaga is happy. I can see she is not caring about Chromatica since there's a supposed marriage happening in the new year. I am authistic, so don't be offended if I make a mess sometimes. alsemanche 92,288
A good album does not make a good era. It had a lot of potential with visuals, performances, virtual concerts, etc. but none of it was done. Her excuses aren't exactly valid. It would have been much better to just say why they're really not doing a lot of things instead of blaming it on the pandemic because all other artists are doing the most with virtual platforms. I don't know whether she doesn't care or doesn't feel like it or has other reasons (and I frankly don't care) but saying that she's not doing things because of covid is just tired at this point. To me, Chromatica had a lot of wasted potential and vision that was never executed. It is what it is. There are other artists who are keeping me hooked to their current music releases and that's fine. But to say that this is the best era is a reach to the stars. The woman’s been through enough, she has nothing left to prove. If this is the way she wants to command her career so be it. We all wanted more but oh well, tough luck. Let her process and do things on her own time.

Gagaloo911 12,959
I agree insofar as the music and visuals go. Otherwise the era was a letdown but I've just learned to accept it. Gaga moved on, it's time we did too (this is meant for all the little complainers who don't stfu about the lack of promo and everything else). River 108,606
rumors says that she gave up on the US market because their taste sucks. Every single this era is a smash in Europe while US slept on each and every single. His fart felt like a kiss

I am not trashing her or anything i genuinely don't care (even though I did for a while when the album was first released). I just have more pressing things to worry about than any artist's eras really. I'm just confused as to why 1. her team blamed it on covid and 2. her stans always blame it on covid. I will still watch her videos or whatever she releases it's not like it's the end of the world that she hasn't done more. Bjork is my fav artist and she barely even appears anywhere and i still stan her harder than anyone else. Soft, soothing, and succulent
