I’m not gonna voter shame you to vote for Biden, can I ask that you not write in please? America’s system of counting in mail in ballot votes is garbage, and is already gonna put a strain on the system, which Trump is counting on that system to illegitimately secure a second term. If you’re not gonna take this election seriously, then do it in the least harmful way possible by not requesuting/sending in a ballot, or staying at home.

I wasn’t being serious about the write in. I haven’t decided what I’ll do yet, but I will be voting. If I can’t decide I will leave the sections blank. I’m not going to vote for Trump, but I also am not sure I want to vote for Biden either.

Im voting for Biden but he aint getting any of my money or time. The only reason im voting for him is because im tired of fighting liberals who seem to think Biden is so different from Trump. Hes not and the dems are going to do more of the same when they are in power. They just wont announce it to the world like Trump and his croonies do.

I’m voting but I’ll probably write Gaga in for president and my cat for governor. Neither presidential candidate seems super promising to me. And I was fine with our governor until he said K-5 schools can open at 100% capacity because kids aren’t at risk. :saladga:

I have one candidate I want to win our state superintendent position because she’s actually been in education. So if anyone is in NC, I’d like to recommend a candidate.

NC is a swing state, please consider Biden if only to stop Trump :bradley:

Your governor can leave though :huntyga:

My hope for the future is that Biden can take us back to "normal" and then progressives take over the Democratic party.

The latter hope is bound to happen as more and more young voters and leaders join, I just hope it's by 2024 that real progressive moves are made.

Leave the top blank if you want. You should vote down ballot for lessor candidates. I suggest you should research who you can vote into the Senate and the House, and even more as those candidates are usually more appealing. The only reason Trump wasn’t able to build his wall, was because of those sane people in lessor government positions. The presidency is never a one man job

Ahhhh I remember my first time voting, 2016... we don’t talk about that year. :toofunny:

I first voted in 2000. That was an awful year to be a first-time voter as well. :bradley: Hanging chads, Florida, Jeb and the Supreme Court more or less stealing the election, RBG writing "I respectfully dissent..."

Even if y'all don't like the presidential candidates and don't want to vote for either of them, there are more people to elect for other positions. So please vote!

Absolutely. I'm going to start seeing what I can do to help out for the campaign as well.

This is the first election where I've been active with local groups and I really enjoy it :flutter:

Yes, I'm voting. I've already requested a mail-in ballot, which I'll be dropping off in person at my township hall (or whatever it's called) – they have a drop-off box outside.

I also persuaded my 71-year-old stepfather, who's never voted in his life, to register to vote!

Here in Brazil we count on you, America!

We hope that if Trump doesn't win, Bolsonaro won't be reelected either

I'm wishing y'all good luck :messga: American politics contributes massively to my anxiety, so I'll be popping a 911 that night and deep breathing.

As a Canadian I'll also say that your voter registration sounds like some bullshit... I can't believe some of the stories I hear! I like to work the polling stations here during elections of all levels as a kind of civic duty, and the thing most beaten into us during training is to do whatever it takes basically to let someone vote. They can register on the spot, change address, name, whatever. The "ID" we accept is... basically any damn thing. Have an expired student card and a bill on your phone? Step right up! I've helped homeless people figure out what they need to vote. So when I see some of the hurdles Americans need to jump to vote, it's really crazy and upsetting to me. Good luck again everyone :fatcat:
