RAMROD 102,045
Screen cap in case of deletion: Many of the comments expressed love for Adams' music and dismay he would not be touring, but dozens of others accused Adams of racism. "Wow. What racist garbage coming from someone I respected," wrote Instagram user @globalcanuck. "Lol, look at this casual racism," wrote @got_thall. "I thought you'd be a better human being than this," wrote @annaliserae80. "The beginning of your message is some seriously racist garbage and everyone here agreeing with you is disgusting." By Monday evening, Bryan Adams was trending on Twitter. University of Alberta professor Tim Caulfield, who is the Canada Research Chair in Health Law and Policy, was one of the many who spoke against the post on Adams' Instagram. He said in an interview that the message feels "filled with hate" and has a "tinge of racism" and is not built on science. "It was not made by anyone as [Adams] implies," Caulfield said. "We don't know that it came from a wet market. A bat may have been involved, in fact, some interesting research recently ... definitely points in that direction. "But we don't know where it's come from. Certainly not enough to justify this kind of anger, this kind of finger pointing." Caulfield says research has found much of the misinformation around the coronavirus comes from celebrities. "So this matters," said Caulfield. "It amplifies a message. And even if you're not a fan of Bryan Adams, this kind of messaging can have an impact." SEANGT 4,785
wet markets are a big potential risk area for viruses and diseases, but so are a bunch of other things across the world. That's what people miss. Just because it happened to be in China this time doesn't give you a pass to call a whole group of people dirty or to hate them. I don't understand why you keep believing some guy named Jim who runs a #coronavirusisfake podcast and never even finished high school Additionally, the Chinese government only waited a few weeks before announcing the virus. Compare this to most countries of the world (USA, Canada, U.K. etc) where their governments LITERALLY laughed at the thought of this being serious enough to lockdown. Politicians worldwide mocked China for taking away their citizens' freedoms by introducing lockdown measures. Well, look at the USA now. They waited THREE months before anything was done, and now they have millions of cases. So don't you dare blame China for this when the rest of the world just laughed at them for taking this seriously. Edit: before you even bother replying, please don't even bother saying China is fudging its numbers. Because we sure as hell know every other country is doing the same too. 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111

Morphine Prince 100,097
He’s not wrong about wet markets being an issue or about veganism being one solution. The issue is when you say stuff like this you have to be careful. People are also ignorant that viruses can come from many animals, bat eating isn’t the primordial issue. There is avian flu, swine flu, etc. It’s more complex than some people like to think. We should instead be asking China to have tougher regulations with these markets.
