Dont let them use someone like Trump as a weapon against you, you should use Trump as a weapon against them. Change the narrative from blaming voters for Trumps win, to blaming the Democratic party for Trumps win because they refuse to represent their own voters. Tell them if you want to win next time, you must earn our vote. Tell them you are not scared of Trump if the other choice is someone like Biden. Yes Trump might win now, but long term thinking, progressives will have power and change the Democratic party forever. But if you continue to vote for the better of two evils, the Democratic party might take 2-3 decades to change. You will have to wait for all the old people to die then you can possibly win. The whole purpose of a Democracy is to give voters the power to control the system. But today it seems like Democracy is being used against the voters and people are going along with it! Democracy only works when people are educated politically and understand the power they have. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Nicely put. The vote is the only power we have and we should treasure it and use it as we please not because of fear of Trump. If we keep compromising for the lesser of 2 evils the country keeps moving and moving to the right and that's how you end up with trump. Time to stand firm for what you believe in. The so called "lesser of two evils" works for the same groups Trump works for. They all serve the interest of Corporations, Wall Street, Banks, The Feds, Military Industrial Complex, and Big Pharma. What these groups want will happen regardless of what party is nominated. The two party system is a propaganda machine that serves one corporate system. Which is why you should go against the system itself instead of playing into the system and its game.

Just saying. Well thousands of Obama voters helped flip numerous States in 2016 in favor of Trump. So yea, it's pretty relevant that Republicans are on board with Biden if it means a better chance of him winning.

Luc 4,776
Stop saying that the Democratic party has to learn so they nominate a progressive in 2024 as an excuse from your duty to protect the world against Trump. The only reason Bernie was polling reasonably well against Trump was because Trump is even more extreme. In 2024 a 'normal' Republican will be on the ballot, and things will actually get competitive. A progrrssive Democrat will have little chances against a center-right Republican. The only approach that will work in the US system, where you'll always need centrist democrats to pass bills in the Senate, is through gradual change. In rhetorics and in policies. The progressive wing of the Democratic party should continue to bring the party to the left, but at the same time realize that the eventual nominee and 'swing' senators for passing a bill will be centrist. So: influence what it means to be centrist. You do that by implementing center-left policies, thus gradually shifting the status quo, and by warming people up and making larger groups identify with ideals you have, which is also a gradual process that requires some kind of support from establishment-type democrats. That's what ObamaCare did, and it's become so popular it's basically irreversible. The next step is some similar form of Biden-care, then a public option, and eventually full coverage. If you keep arguing that Biden needs to earn your vote, while asking Biden to basically be Bernie, you're only making it more attractive for Biden to appeal to the centre-right instead, because he can be certain those folks will actually show up, and because those people don't live in >80% blue urban centers along the coast. Hybrid AT 78
Only on online platforms and social media can cross-party appeal be taken negatively. The reality is so different. In fact, a Republican supporting a Democrat is better than a Democrat supporting their own because it's essentially a double vote. It takes a vote from Trump and adds it to Biden. That's how you expand the electorate. The anti-Trump sentiment is huge among people and if it continues to grow like this, it will help Biden immensely in November. Also, not some Bernie supporters using this to make fun of Biden while they would probably use the same argument to bolster Bernie's credentials. The hypocrisy. Republican supports Bernie = “King!!! His policies are so good that even Republicans support him! Go Bernie!” Republican supports Biden = “Meh, wbk, he's a moderate Republican. Republicans supporting him is a red flag” You can't have it both ways. Pick a side. "I was protected by the monks of Azarath, I was raised by my friends.
