I'm not calling people petty for not supporting Bernie. Don't misframe my comment. I'm calling online quarrels petty. Warren and Bernie have near identical domestic economic policies and Bernie has a better foreign policy. He also has much more support than Warren from the GP and from minorities, and most of his supporters aren't on the internet tweeting. That's just facts. If you can support Warren's agenda but have something against Bernie, that's just showing you're picking a candidate's personality or likeability over policy. Voting for McCain is not the same thing as voting for Trump when we already had the grab them by the p#ssy comments and much more. McCain was a war hero. Trump was a bone spurs zero. Also the people the voted for McCaine was because Obama was running a far LEFT campaign at the time. So they voted conservative. They didn't vote for McCain just out of pettiness. They are not equatable. And like I said before Warren has a better policy. But that doesn't reflect poorly on Bernie like you seem to imply. In fact, it means he could get support from people who otherwise might vote Trump. It reflects poorly on the type of people he attracts. No girl that's not how it works. He will not gain new supporters, he will bring in "the burn it down" supporters he never lost. The sabotagers. Those are just bad faith actors. He is not winning real Trump supporters. Voting should be primarily based on policies. Not on your feelings. If Joe Biden gets the nomination, I am 100% voting for him in November despite me not thinking he is what this country needs because the opposite (Trump) is much worse. Yeah...must feel kinda hurtful when your own party is against you and your ideas... … but its not a personal thing .. the moderates don't share the same vision you do regarding the economy and policies … That's why I stop replying to personal attacks about this … Bernie is a good guy, and a great American … he might win … and is in the lead currently … I'm in the middle and will always rally for a moderated position …. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. He doesnt do well with older more conservative AA voters in places like SC, but he does the best or very close with african americans nationally and in places like the midwest, which are more geographically significant to an electoral victory in the general election. Bernie's problem is more about the way the Democratic primaries are ordered and run, he would have a better time just on its face in a general election. If this wasn't true, I would agree this is a very pressing issue. I agree optics are important, but considering the chances of a contested convention will become more and more likely if not inevitable if we have a nightmare scenario on Tuesday with Joe winning TX, NC, and VA (i think he will) + being viable in CA + Warren stays in the race... I support this choice. A contested convention = Biden wins even if he has less delegates + votes, just flat out its over, so this is probably the exact time to not be concerned about optics and about winning. You have valid points, but I still worry as there have only been two polls that I am aware of showing him (barely) beating Biden with Black voters....and those generally tend to be because it's divided something like 20% Joe, 19% Bloomberg, and 25% Bernie...and we know when Bloomberg drops his votes sure as h*ll are't floating Bernie's way. Not to mention Joe still won Black voters in NV by a slim margin, and tied with young Black voters in SC while trouncing Bernie with over 30 Black voters. I honestly feel like Bernie just needs to rethink his approach...he needs to hire some new faces to work some magic for him ASAP....because between saying he won the working class in SC (he didn't) and chalking his loss up to the elites (and that was...not a good look because it implies SC Black voters are elites)...and the Selma thing...it's just not good. But I do understand your opinion on Selma because a contested convention will be a f*cking nightmare. Although, the Bernie fans on here will probably kill me....but a contested convention might give my girl Warren or even Tammy Baldwin (95% of Bernie's policies, but younger and from a swing state) a chance. What do you think about Tammy? I know a lot of Bernie people like her and want her to be his VP. My dream ticket, which didn't happen, was always Sherrod Brown/Tammy Baldwin or Tammy Baldwin/Ruben Gallego...takes advantage of the electoral college swing states and the candidates aren't ancient. Tammy Baldwin/Cory Booker would have also thrown the moderates a bone, but still have the top of the ticket fighting for M4All, GND, etc....and Cory, bless him, had the best criminal justice platform BY FAR despite being a moderate. The man does not get nearly enough credit for his work there....

This is why it's so important to introduce these "radical" pieces of legislature. It allows room for negotiation while also making sure the plan is not shifted too far to the right. I've said many times on this forum that I voted for Sanders in the last presidential primary. I've said that I'm a Sanders supporter. (Check my post history if you need evidence.) My state doesn't vote in the primary until June, as of now my intention is to vote for Sanders. The fact that you all read a post that was critical of Sander's supporters and assumed it couldn't have been written by a Sander's supporter perfectly illustrates the mob mentality among Sander's loyalists. I don't call people "white moderates and neoliberals" to dismiss their legitimate criticisms. I'm not spamming pro-Pete, pro-Biden, or pro-Amy posts with sarcastic SAD or LMAO reactions. I'm not belittling Pete's historic campaign, while every queer kid in America watches, by calling him a rat, a cheat, and a loser. You answer to me by quoting me in your answer that exclusively discuss things that aren't related to what I told you. What I was telling you is that the bashing against Sanders is just as strong ( if not stronger ) as the bashing against others so your selective outrage about "Sanders supporters acting like a mob" is either dishonest or misinformed. 11 hours ago, SKANK said: Take a note from Gaga and Sanders, and understand the value of kindness. But giving an opinion, even if it's not a positive one, is not mean. If I think Pete sold out I gonna say it even if you find me mean for being honest all the time and not only when I have a compliment to make. PS: Reactions like SAD or LMAO do express an opinion so calling it "spamming" is unfair. People can find a politician move sad or laughable indeed when he's caught making up black supports, switching on a major issue after just a few months of campaign showing he doesn't have much of a spine politically etc... Hybrid AT 78
Revisiting this weeks later, I'm so glad Bernie lost the nomination again. Thank you, Pete. For running a groundbreaking campaign centred on inclusion and belonging. He ran on a mission to restore civility and decency and create a new kind of politics around it and accomplished that and so much more. Not to mention, the first openly gay candidate to get delegates and win a state primary and give his concession speech kissing his husband on stage as millions watched. I'll always be a proud supporter and can't wait for him to run again. It's not about feelings vs policy, it's about making others feel welcomed into your coalition or not. Bernie and his supporters failed to understand that for two straight cycles. That's why he lost both times and will never be the president. After all, leadership isn't just about policy, it's about what you draw out of people too. "I was protected by the monks of Azarath, I was raised by my friends. They are my family, this is my home and you are not welcome here."
