Although apparently this isn’t actually being discussed (?), the idea of reducing the number of days in the workweek is fantastic and is something every country should be implementing! We prioritize “efficiency” in employment to maximize corporate profit, to the extent that workers end up doing the jobs of multiple potential employees and often take their work home with them. Spreading the workload around and employing everyone in the process is a no-brainer in my mind.

Since she became PM she hasn’t mentioned nor proposed the idea. You wrote in present tense as if Finnish government is considering it, which they had to clarify and your link is spreading fake news. 

She was not PM when she was “floating the idea” many months ago and you should just change it to talk in general, because it ain’t happening.

If we reduced hours AND workload tho the output would drop too much... I think it would have to be either one or the other

 

I support the idea of everyday people benefiting from increased productivity and reducing stress but I think we still have to be reasonable about how much to reduce work... The world still needs labor to function 

 

Less work means less wealth generated. To some extent we can makeup for that by not letting wealthy hoard it all but there's a limit to how much we could really force

I thought the news was accurate given Bloomberg is supposed to be one of the most reliable business news sources

I can't now cuz I'm married and got bills but I used to work only 32 to 35 hours a week and I loved it!!!!
