BARCODE 1,141 Posted January 2, 2020 Share Posted January 2, 2020 I honestly haven't experienced any horrific violence (I know some have though), but I was young and stupid at one point and was hosting guys at my apartment during a slutty phase of my life. Looking back I'm shocked at how many guys came over to have a drink with me. Also, shocked at how many guys that even claimed in their profile they just wanted to be friends would get to my place and then want to hook up. There is also a startling amount of guys who still will want to have unprotected sex on the first date. That's dangerous. Asking someone if they are "clean" in the moment is not evidence. And 9 times out of 10 if they are willing to raw dog it on the first date, they are not trustworthy enough to begin with. Especially when they are thinking with the head in their pants and not on their shoulders. Be careful y'all! It led to me deleting Grindr because I was drunk one night and went back to my friend's place and got on...was lonely and hooked up with this guy and he was really aggressive. A couple of days later I experienced pain and a red rash and so I went to the doctor and they did a biopsy and saw I had contracted syphilis from the guy. I tried to track him down but he disappeared...probably because he knew he was giving people syphilis and not telling. Luckily, what I got was curable. I just had to get a really painful shot up my ass and part of my flesh cut out of me. And then go back to the doctor two times to make sure I was clean. Thank God I am now...but it was enough to scare me that I just deleted Grindr after that. Yes...there are some good people on there...but most people that are logged on and respond...are already horny and not thinking clearly and there is no way of knowing when you meet up with them if they are really who they say they are or not. They might even look like their profile picture...but that's the only real thing about Grindr. Other than that Grindr just asks if you've been tested. (That's not real proof, it's not like Grindr asks for a doctor's note). So...be careful. And this doesn't even begin to talk about the psychological effects Grindr is having on your brain. Studies are beginning to come out and they show a rise in depression, a loss in committed relationships, and also Grindr's contribution to the rise of that new strand of Gonorrhea that you cant get rid of and can cause you to die. It's practically a new STD. Yall better be careful and tbh it's probably best for you to not be on an app that disassociated you from any real romantic experience to get you laid by someone who can lie about their age, job, income, looks, health, drug status, and whether or not they are carrying a crowbar in their trunk... I'll stick to a good old fashioned let's go out on a date method. P.S. Random Fact: According to the F.B.I., there are currently 56 active serial killers in the United States, 14 of which they know have used or still do use Grindr. Do take some time to get to know them too. I think many of us here can say they have done the exact same thing in meeting someone after a day. It was extremely lovely of Jeffree to donate too.
