I think the business thingy is not necessary, it's better to change it to social work, I think it would benefit everyone if students would work with old people, kids with special needs and so on, than just opening a business with money that they don't have..

I've wanted so badly to like Kamala, but her record does NOT match her rhetoric and I get the sense that she is fundamentally centrist when we need real, structural change to our economy and government. She reminds me of Obama, and while I love Obama as a person, he was not the liberal lion I think many people think he was.

I thought “grants” were funds that you don’t have to pay back. How can you forgive a “loan” if you never even took out a loan?

I guess it’s for those who revived a grant and a loan that the loan portion will be forgiven. Doesn’t really help me out personally because I didn’t get a Pell grant but it could benefit a few people.

I honestly don’t expect my student loans to be forgiven completely. If they could reduce some of the interest then I think that would be enough for me.

While I am 100% against total student loan forgiveness and would favor this type of idea in theory, this is a horrendous metric by which people would need to qualify.
