Yes. I think her saying “ I sometimes like girls” is just another way for her to say it. I don’t think she was trying to skirt around the issue.

Have you heard of the term “heteroflexible”? It means someone who is primarily straight but is sometimes attracted to the same sex. If someone says they are 90% straight/10% gay or something similar along those lines I consider that heteroflexible, because the same sex attraction is too occasional. Not saying Gaga is heteroflexible, but it’s not a term most people know.

This is why I hate labels. It's so constricting. If you don't want to put a label on yourself you shouldn't have to. And there should not be anything wrong with it. 

A friend of mine likes men and women but don't want to label herself as either straight or bi. We talked a lot about the term sexual fluidity instead.

Hmmm you make an interesting point. Emotionally - I love women, especially the one closest to me. But I’m not attracted to her sexually. For sex it’s 100% men but emotionally I don’t connect well with them.

But during the ARTPOP era, she explicitly told people she was bisexual. She even talked about how she didn't like it when people told her that she needed to "prove" her bisexuality.

For the Pulse speech,  she called herself an "ally" because she is an ally. Everyone in the LGBTQ is an "ally"; I think that's what she might have meant by that statement.

Finally, about the Drag Race thing, I mean, she's not a gay woman. Being bisexual doesn't mean you associate yourself as being "gay". In fact, you probably shouldn't associate yourself with being "gay", because being bisexual doesn't mean you exclusively are attracted to the person of the same sex, but instead of both sexes. 

EDIT - Also, Poker Face is about bisexuality right? So she's been out since like the beginning of her career.

Well, in my opinion it's still weird that in all of those instances she didn't simply own her bisexuality Like what's the point of calling yourself an ally when you can call yourself part of the LGBT+ community? Her letter B is literally in the community's title

Same on Drag Race. Why say that? Why not just say the obvious, which is that she's a bisexual and thus part of the community, and able to speak for them?

You can of course try to twist Gaga's statements into them making sense but it's exactly the fact that she chose an alternative to the much more sensible standard ("I'm bisexual") that is so unusual and weird.
