He knew it was a silly idea, that was the whole point. This isn’t about his ego, this isn’t about him trying to get a hit, it was a silly idea he had to have fun and make something ligthearted with his friends . He’s known as the nicest person in the industry for a reason, his ego is not what people think it is.

I can't imagine how that would even sound and work out  Lady Marmelade was great because of how it showcased all of the girls different sounds (Ed and JB have the same sound - basic edm music with terrible vocals) and Bruno has that funky style I can't see it going together and blending... Also like wtf thanks to Lil Kim's verse the song is quite feministic did they wanna make a man power anthem or what?

That’s the thing though, people criticize him without even knowing full stories behind things. He genuinely doesn’t have a big ego, people read misinterpreted headlines taken out of context and take it all as fact. I’ve been a fan for years and have seen just about every interview he’s ever given (and that’s really not much of an exaggeration), and you won’t find a more humble “pop star,” and his peers and everyone who’s interviewed him say he’s the sweetest, most grounded guy you’ll ever meet.
