dit 46,518
Today was amazing and I am so happy Gaga got her first #1 in 8 years!!! With that in mind what does this tell us? It tells us that with the right push by both Gaga, Gaga's team and us her Little Monsters we can achieve anything (as cheesy as it sounds). I think before Shallow's tremendous success many here truly believed that it was over for Gaga on the Hot 100 singles charts and that she'd only ever be able to top the albums charts because of her strong pure album sale figures but Shallow has taught us that with the right song, with Gaga talent at live performing, with a passionate fanbase and with a competent team plan / organization Gaga can indeed top the Hot 100 again! When? With LG6's lead single of course! I dont think LG6 is coming any time soon but whenever it comes her lead single could top if we really push hard for it and if Gaga team manages to secure her a strong first week radio deal that takes her to like 20M radio audiences. IF she just is able to snatch that and have good Spotify song placements with our very strong pure sales first week pushes she could debut #1! I think Shallow has revived the passion in all of us in ways we have not seen in ages. Many of the grandpa / grandma Monsters from ancient times have said that this moment reminded them of the good old days when our fan base pationaltly organized and tried to help as much as possible. dit 46,518
and of course I am not getting ahead of myself or saying "we need another #1" when we just got one lol! I'm just saying Shallow has proven we can get another #1!

Lord Temptation 11,209
The lead for LG6 will be even bigger than Shallow. I feel like Gaga’s only just getting started, she is alot more confident in her own skin now. Kween of doing the impossible
FfFfFfFF 56,351
I agree. Now more than anytime the future seems full of top 3s and top 10s, even some more #1. I still can't believe Shallow was the hit this fanbase begged for since 2013. Ever since I joined this forum I adopted this mentality that Gaga won't ever have another #1 and I'm so happy it was proven wrong.

Well said Im also happy it's Shallow that did this, she won a ****ing Oscar for it it's amazing. Also I loved the song from the first moment I heard it even though yall dragged it. For some reason it reinded me of Bad Romance...I got the same amount of chills to it when I listen to it for the first time. andy232000 12,206
She has to be very careful with the sound and song she choses to put out as the lead for LG6. As much success she has gotten this months, remember that once you get to the top, the only other was is down, sadly. Now more than ever people are watching her every move and are eager to see how she transitions from a highly successful era. Therefore, she needs to make sure her single is innovative while still digestible, that is, if she is interested in “winning” again, which tbh, I think she is. If she picks a decent lead, and secures a radio deal, we cab take care of the rest. Another #1 is highly possible for LG6 since the GP are crazy over her atm
SpeechIess 1,060
I mean, for example, her traction on Spotify and other streaming services has vastly improved recently so I think that could ultimately help really boost the lead from LG6 to #1 but it's all down to what sound she picks. It has to be 50/50. But it's a possibility.
Alphaz 7,958
If she dropping new single next week or the week after. She might get her 5th #1. Because all this shallow hype. She's hot at the moment.
LilyLark 10,122
I think it all depends on radio/streaming. Gaga's pure sales still dominate, but those charts are an issue when it comes to singles. Some of y'all laughed on me on an other post, but radio has definitely changed in the past 2-3 years—Beyonce is one of the biggest selling artists, but has only had two #1s, like Gaga, in ten years. Meanwhile, two pop girls who shall remain nameless have had more #1s, including one who sells way less than Gaga and another one who only now is selling more and was played on a certain radio station over 30 times in one day. And I like those girls and I think it's kind of pointless to point out the obvious semi-payola (I don't think it's traditional payola so much as a deal between the radio station and labels), but it isn't on the up and up. Pop isn't as dominant, especially Gaga and Katy's old style of pop, which is another barrier. But I think she can get another #1, but it depends on timing to avoid the semi-payola artists, the "right" sound, and so on. And Bobby needs to learn on how to do some of those Spotify deals. TBH while a fair amount of LM dislike Joanne and aren't crazy about ASIB, I bet a ASIB style ballad would probably soar to the top if released on the right date. Calvin Harris and Diplo also have a record of churning out hits, even if they are jerks.
NightStar 313
I don't wanna be a downer, but her latest top ten hits in the USA (Million Reasons and Shallow) both relied on heavy promotion mechanics, like the Super Bowl and the movie premiere and the Academy awards. If that's to be interpreted as a sign, it means she needs not just any promotion, some blockbuster promotion to take her song up the charts. To quote Billboard: "Shallow" re-enters the Streaming Songschart at No. 9, marking its first week in the top 10". So she needed an Oscar performance to take the song to the top 10 of Streaming Chart, as she needed the Super Bowl to take Million Reasons to the top of the Streaming Chart. Thus, her number ones in the future seem more plausible if she is given some big promotion slots. Having said that, I must admit that we have not seen her release stand-alone studio music (not affiliated with films, etc.) since her renaissance (which started with the Super Bowl performance and the documentary), so it might be that her streaming power is now different. But I gotta say I've never felt as hopeful about her chart prospects as I feel now when her song is gracing the top of HOT 100!

But most artists have a lot of circumstandes that help their music (best example is the drama about Ariana Grande last year). But i think if Perfect Illusionwas able to make a Top 15 debut, then the lead of LG6 will make it to the Top 5 easily. She got the attention of the GP, good producers, a united fanbase, she will do it
Setsuna Trip 55
if she puts 'always' in the radios and in top 5 on TTH, she can make the song top 10 effortlessly. With good investment, the 1 would be possible.
