giskardsb 12,565
$400 million on a $38 million budget. Pop Cultural phenomenon Best selling soundtrack world wide. Bradley will have his choice of directing gigs and his status as an actor is even more solidified. Gaga will have her choice of any role she wants. Tons of nominations prove it's considered one of the best movies of the year, considered to be in the top five of every category. Quit acting like ASIB is flopping or "losing" anything but a bit of hardware. And some of you need to quit gloating over losses. What kind of "fan" does that? There is nothing but Win for Bradley, Gaga, and Warner Brothers with ASIB.
JustAnother 5,113
Plus she got a Golden Globe, which is probably the most important award so far. Anyway I’m happy for Gaga. This movie allowed her to repeak.
julz 7,377
..and this is just the beginning. Her acting era (in movies!) has just started. I feel like this coming years is focused on acting. The fact that Gaga got the part in ASIB, is already a BIG WIN. Vote 4 Gaga: https://mtv.com/event/vma/vote

Zander 14,911
I’ve said before in other award ceremony posts that getting nominated is still a big deal. I can’t even begin to count how many times the film has been nominated in mutliple categories. For you’re first directional debut that’s pretty huge! Not everyone is so lucky. As for gaga she has been praised and acclaimed to the highest degree. She’s proved a lot of people wrong. Seeing her nominated along side profolic actresses is something I could never of imagine seeing a year ago. It’s still so surreal to see. Who’d of thought her competition would be a legend like Glenn? What we’ve been witnessing is the probably the best case scenario. The film could of tanked and not gotten nominated. We should just enjoy this high for what it is!
2School4Cool 6,449
I just posted this in another thread but it seems fitting here too: “Let’s all remember that some of the most iconic movies of all time have been snubbed at awards season. This doesn’t deminish the movie’s success or acclaim. It’s difficult with so many amazing actors and movies this season. Sure, I would be so happy to see Bradley win more, but Rami deserves it as well, and that doesn’t take away from Bradley’s success. ASIB has impacted so many people and will continue to impact whoever watches it for years to come, that’s what’s most important.” ASIB is a massive success whether it wins every award or not. GypsyBabe 22,836
Glenn Close said it best on the carpet tonight when she said that it is so special for Gaga to be nominated and recognized at ceremonies like this for her VERY FIRST movie. That she was phenomenal and a prodigy. We as a fanbase should be proud. It takes actors years to be recognized by critics and their peers for their work. Gaga did it right out of the gate. The movie is loved, the soundtrack is loved, and this film will not be forgotten because it has been impactful. Everyone who worked to make this film what it is understands that even though they don’t have the hardware, the movie will be remembered far more than some of the others because it resonated to such a wide array of people. I’m just so proud of the people who made this film regardless of these award wins or losses. ⚯͛

She probably won't get a chance like this ever again for a best lead actress role if she loses all these acting awards since most acting guilds think she's only a pop star/singer and that's how she's been treated this whole awards seasons from actors to most of the GP and critics (including Twitter in itself), which I think is great so she can solely focus on more music by sticking to her lane like the musician she's is and excels at. lol.... Gaga will have more acting jobs ready for her than she will be able to fill. Her "lane" includes acting as well as music, and acting is what she wanted to do first. I can't think of anything more selfish than wanting Gaga to lose so she is forced to concentrate on music... but what do you expect from a newbie troll. Chris Evans 8,917
with Gaga the Oscar nomination alone + the box office success for ASIB is enough for her to be able to seek out literally any role... pre-ASIB she did not have these recognitions
