Funhouse debuted at number two on the United States Billboard 200 chart issued on November 18, 2008, with sales of 180,000, behind AC/DC's Wal-Mart exclusive, Black Ice, which claimed the top spot with its second-week sales of 271,000. In March 2009, it was certified platinum by the RIAA for shipments of over 1,000,000 copies,[22] and as of June 2012, the album has sold 1,960,000 copies.[23]

That was 4 years ago backed by a lead single. Will be hard for her to make 150k.

Carly Rae could well put up Katy-Rihanna first week numbers and beat her.

I'm so...lost with the charts right now  Nicki's underperforming, Katy's either on break or planning to release Dressing Up with nothing confirmed, Xtina can release something anytime now, Britney can release something new or from a more than one year old album at anytime with nothing confirmed, Taylor debuted huge with a sell-out-like and not-so-good song but her second single's success is up in the air, P!nk's single underpreformed and I have no idea what she's gonna perform at the VMA's and when she's releasing her next single, No Doubt's first single did...ok, with a second single probably set to underperform, Ke$ha's doing something no one knows about yet, Carly's probably gonna smash and make a bigger name for herself, Adele's preggers and gone, a bad K-Pop song is climbing the charts, Too Close FINALLY burst into the top 10 (top 5 even maybe) after being way too close for the longest time, Maroon 5 is smashing even if they sold out, Linkin Park is virtually non existant with their album era, Chris Brown and Train somehow have songs doing really good on iTunes all of a sudden, Cher Lloyd's single broke into the top 10 and is about to fall out with her second single not doing good, Neon Trees' nearly one year old song is finally in the top 10, Justin Bieber is underperforming and I have no clue what he plans to do next, Ellie Goulding looked like she was finally getting somewhere in the US but she chose the wrong song to follow up with, Alicia Keys is a huge question mark, Mariah is failing, Madonna is flashing her boobs in foreign countries, Beyonce is too busy with her baby to be releasing music, One Direction might actually have a humungous debut with their upcoming lead single depending on what exactly the perform at the VMAs, and Phillip Phillip's song is actually turning into a hit.

That's a huuuuge post...but did I miss anything? I'm trying to organize my thoughts and summarize everything that's going on in music right now.

When has Linkin Park ever aimed to even be on the single charts?

They're doing fine. They lay low like other bands like them. It's not like they're desperate for a hit single so I wouldn't call them non-existent

It was never their aim, but they used to manage decent sized hits. Now, it feels like Burn it Down did good when it was first released, but this album isn't going to last nearly as long as theirr others.

Well I won't always be right, but I do my best to watch trends :hor:

Like when MTN was #18 on Pop radio and barely cracking the top 100 on iTunes, I knew for a fact it would flop. Everyone thought i was delusional because the video wasn't out yet, blah, blah... Rule of thumb. If a song isn't very high on iTunes by the time it reaches #15 on Pop, then it's a very bad sign.

Just watched the Mariah performance, didn't think it was that bad tbh. She still hit those really high notes that no one else can, even with her aging vocals. Pretty impressive.

Obviously she won't sound like she did in 1993, that's impossible with vocal maturity. Happens to all artists.

She'll probably debut her first single at American Idol if I had to guess.
