I literally had to make an account after lurking for like... seven years (?) because I have to jump in here. this is ridiculous

the people saying she as a point.... wtf is wrong with y'all

we've all dragged the sh*t out of gaga for working with r kelly because she deserved it and we'll continue to do it until we die because it was disgusting. full stop. the biggest mistake of her career. I'll never forgive her for it.

however, Gaga 1) scrapped the video and stopped promoting the song once those allegations resurfaced and 2) spent months of her life speaking out about her own rape, promoting a documentary on sexual assault on college campuses and working with the literal vice president on a national campaign to raise awareness for this sort of thing as a way of paying penance for what she'd done. she worked to show that she'd grown

nicki is literally trying to drag some other artist into her mess to excuse the fact that she knowingly collaborated with someone who had sex with a 13 year old girl and posted a video of it online without the girl's consent, tacked that collaboration onto her album in some desperate attempt to grab a #1 and then invited him to GO ON TOUR with her, after weeks (months, now) of backlash and criticism. And by doing all of this she's basically admitting that she knows about the allegations against 6ix9ine and doesn't care! and all because she couldn't get her album to #1!

I share the same sentiments as you guys – Gaga scrapped Do What U Want's MV and tried to recover from the mess by releasing a version with Christina Aguilera. She made effort to right the wrongs, no matter how effective it was.

Nicki, on the other hand…given how she's always on Twitter and keeps herself on the pulse with current affairs, it's likely she was aware about 6ix9ine's reputation and the controversy surrounding him. Yet, what did she do? Choose to feature in FEFE (song AND video), cunningly (or playfully if you prefer) chuck shade at him on Instagram, add the song in Queen last-minute so that it'll capitalise on its success and add on to the album's SPS figures. It doesn't take much to see that she's doing all of this for the money and to keep up with her records and inflated ego. I think this whole saga is flat-out embarrassing. She wasn't even trying to wrong any right. Instead, it feels like she was trying to justify, or at least cover up the wrongs. I feel sorry for Nicki fans for having to defend her, I really do. 

If anything, she's not really exposing the double standards of the media, but rather her lack of ethics.
