Rino 5,120 Posted August 12, 2018 Share Posted August 12, 2018 I feel like Gaga's biggest hits - Poker Face, Bad Romance, Born This Way (even Paparazzi and Telephone to some extent) - are in general more well-remembered around the world than her contemporaries hits (excluding Britney and Beyonce). Like the only "iconic" Rihanna song I can personally name is Umbrella. Katy doesn't seem to have a single "iconic" hit. It's hard to name Taylor Swift's well-remembered songs as well. Like everyone knows Bad Romance (they at least remember "rah-rah" part) and that it is by Lady Gaga because of the unique sound and imagery, but would a random person in a distant country know who sings Diamonds or Work? About Rihanna: 'Umbrella', 'Don't Stop The Music' and even 'We Found Love' are very recognisible to this day. There's always at least one hit which comes to my mind thinking about other pop artists.
