jhonyguy04 3
I don't understand your comparison between Do Doubt and Gaga? Would you be able to elaborate on that? How does No Doubt's current career characteristics have anything to do with Gaga's during the Born This Way era? As for the song's iTunes performance, I think everybody knew that it was going to fail terrible. The thing about older artists is that they have a problem selling singles. They rely more on album sales. As for the songs Radio performance, it's doing quite well. I'm guessing you are coming to conclusion that it's dying because of it's bullet decrease? Did you take the time to compare that songs bullet to other song's on Chr/Pop? It still is the fastest growing song on there. why are you getting so mad though? i just compared it to Judas because it seems like its going to perform like it, which is kinda of sucky. but whatever you say. i just thought it would do better like Pink's BMOLK. Americano 31,061
So I'm assuming Whistle is gonna be a lock on #1 on Wednesday? Anyone have the numbers? It'll probably stay there for a bit too

Americano 31,061
Updated all of the information on the first page, I've been about it so my apologies. Been busy lately. ARTPOP is also in the OP now. :)

Sorry I didn't mean to come off as mad or rude. I was just asking for you to elaborate your comparison because I didn't understand what you meant by it, that's all. Sorry it came out as rude. Robotboy 1,700
so whistle should be #1 next week right? katy falling on radio and itunes.. and carly is falling harder.. Remember that you are unique. Like everyone else.
Tommymonster44 0
so whistle should be #1 next week right? katy falling on radio and itunes.. and carly is falling harder.. I don't see whistle going number one next week. Katy might not go number one, but it probably won't be Whistle taking her place. While Katy is falling on the radio, she's still going to come in at the top spot this week. Whistle hasn't even broke the top 10. Remember that radio accounts for the majority of Billboard placement. And it's not like Katy is incredibly far behind him in sales. She's 5 spots behind him. Furthermore, Katy is ahead of Flo Rida in video streaming this week. Katy has him beat in the radio and video streaming, which accounts for 60% of a songs performance on Billboard.

Out of the Top 10 music videos on VEVO, the song has the lowest number of views after the period and marketing it got, and it's getting less and less views everyday. Ellie Goulding and Flo Rida are getting decent updates on radio. Also, honey, there's a Katy thread in Music down below.
boysboysboys 278
I hope Whistle can over take Katy. Billboard is a b---h and might actually give Katy her #1 because the rules pave for radio way too much. Ellie Goulding and Flo Rida might not do it in time... even though I've posited that they can. Magoo, where are you? :( Edited August 5, 2012 by boysboysboys
Cherry 17
It's so unfair that radio makes up the majority of Hot 100 points... sales and streaming reflect what people REALLY want to hear, while radio just reflects what programmers (and sometimes record labels) choose to shove down our throats. These are the people that connive to create the "in thing", the kind of music that will be bandwagoned. Plus, they keep songs for so long at the top (groups of songs at that) because they stick to demand that's circular, so music and people's tastes in general don't change.
