ryhanna 3,507
That's a decent cover. Carly's clearly going for the "plain and simple" image, which is really a breath of fresh air in pop today. Let's see how it plays out..

Let's see how it plays out.. She looks heavily 'shopped. radio TAYLOR SWIFT - We Are Never Ever Getting...: 50.114 (+ 44.164) cf day 2: LADY GAGA - Born This Way: 45.662 (+ 20.579) "cf"? Anyways, this is saddening. Don't know what radio's deal is with Gaga, but Taylor's new song is a much larger sonic disappointment.

00000000 1
Kendrick Lamar currently has songs at 997 936 - a collab w/ Rick Ross and a few others 538 - a collab w/ Curren$y 444 62 16 So KL has lots of buzz, so it's possible that the future LG collab will chart very high on Urban charts and most likely go to #1 with monsters combined with his fanbase. Also, depending on how hard of an instrumental he uses, it may chart very high on BillboardH100 and get pop radio play. If it sounds like trap music, I doubt it, but if it has more of a light hiphop production, they could go top 5. craig 680
radio TAYLOR SWIFT - We Are Never Ever Getting...: 50.114 (+ 44.164) cf day 2: LADY GAGA - Born This Way: 45.662 (+ 20.579) It's just the power of format crossover. Yesterday TS had 15m Pop, 5m Hot AC, 12m Country. BTW still grew faster on pop. What annoys me is Yuyi was more country than TS's new single. Why wasn't a country version marketed to country radio (as a duet with a country star if needed).
jhonyguy04 3
so is Katy at number one today? and the whole Taylor thing makes me want for Gaga to collaborate with Max Martin. It is not true that all his songs end up sounding generic. We can say the same for RedOne. And I think Gaga could pull the best from him. You must know: Max Martin is one of the most corrupt people in the industry. Even though Dr. Luke is more generic, he still hasn't sold out (and promoted selling out) as much as Max Martin has. They havent announced them yet, so we still don't know who topped the chart. Edited August 15, 2012 by Klou
