I doubt she will tour for 100+ dates. Unless she does 2-3 haitus in between tour legs. Since BTWB she managed to do 50~80 shows, so I have faith in her still touring, she just needs some time off. I believe the next tour (after Vegas) she’ll begin touring in Europe to make up for JWT.

This. If she is to ever tour the world again, I hope she is smart enough to start with Europe and Asia, or any continent that has been robbed of world tour dates.

I think Gaga will be fine in the short term, but I can't imagine what her career will be like when she's in her 40s/50s.. It seems like her pains are becoming more frequent.

However, I'm glad she's doing the Vegas thing. Her health was probably the reason why she signed on to do it. I don't think Gaga will be able to do huge tours anymore.

I hope so. I've decided I'm likely going to go to LV and see her anyway, I've been wanting to go to LA for years so I can do it in one holiday. :)

I haven't gone back through this thread so don't come at me :laughga:but how will her Vegas residency work with her fibromyalgia? If it's something that can strike her down at anytime how can she realistically commit to shows? Even with the fact that it won't be as punishing on her schedule and travel wise, how can she say she'll be able to do x amount of shows a week when her illness could prevent her at anytime? I'm genuinely interested/concerned?

All they can really do is space out dates, and try to plan ahead. If there’s a flair up before a show and she becomes immobile, not much they can do.

Because Vegas will be easier than touring, with only staying in one place, no traveling and jet lag, etc.

Interesting that in the 5 day gap between shows she chose to fly back to New York to do a 4 minute performance for the Grammy's then landed in the UK the day of the first show- if traveling is part of the problem that's hardly going to help is it??

If you have this kind of problem then manage it- 5 day rest might have made all the difference

Either way it's all done now, if Gaga tours Europe again then I won't be doing any overseas shows

I don’t know, maybe she thought she’d win a Grammy and wanted to give her fans one last tv performance.

I guess you're right. I would 100% plan a vacation to Vegas to see her but the thought of going all that way and her cancelling again at the last minute, I don't think I could recover.

It's such a horrible illness, poor Gaga.

Also, let's remember that in the 90s, Madonna pissed off her fans immensely because she didn't tour for about 8 years, but as soon as she announced the Drowned World Tour, tickets sold out all over the world instantly.

Gaga will be OK.

I always forget she didn't tour for Bedtime OR ROL then mashed together Music and ROL for the DWT

I hope for her sake that she's done with major tours. A smaller mini tour, couple of dates here and there with cool production would be just fine tbh.

To answer my own question: I could see her doing stand alone dates here and there. Like mini tours. But I just don’t know how she could commit to a world tour with 100+ dates again.

Yeah I feel like she could do a max 25 show tour with like a date once a week, touring only 1 continent. At least then she can manage the pain and still see her fans like she wants to!

I mean its possible for her fibromyalgia to go away on its own which would explain her going to vegas. A place to put less stress on her body while giving it the necessary time for the disease to go away and give her time to plan her next move career wise. I think that if she is lucky enough to have her fibromyalgia go away, she will most definitely be able to tour again with 100+ shows
