It definitely would've gone straight to the Top 10 on the Hot 100, eventually becoming her next #1. I mean Perfect Illusion peaked at #15, and that was a non-radio friendly pop-rock song that didn't really appeal to the GP. Imagine what TC could've done along with an exciting music video and the hype from those awaiting Gaga's pop comeback. Imagine if Gaga debuted The Cure at the Super Bowl and released the video first week. It would've debuted at number one.
JoeMo 3,697
I don’t understand how it charted so low in the UK, it was in the top 10 on iTunes for aaaaages www.youtube.com/jmremixes

Eddie A Michael 362
TC very generic though.i mean, it's good but forgettable. Unless it has a killer video, and a remix featuring Justin Bieber, then it will have longevity. Ok i was just kidding about that Bieber remix. ryanripley 86,575
i mean if she actually promoted PI, it would be higher than #15 so i think it's unfair to drag PI for peaking at #15 https://goo.gl/xMgMvJ
Yelir 573
Well I know here in Canada it was in the top 20 on iTunes for months and that says a lot because most songs she release go to number 1 right away and then fade fast. If she had promoted the song it would've been number 1 for sure.
HausOfNicole 177
I'll never understand the need for #1s. Like who is that for exactly? It's nice when it happens of course, but I feel like it's given weight it doesn't deserve. The album still need well and the your is doing great as well. And it's not like she hasn't had hits and #1 songs in the US and all over the world.
Sense8 182
I believe that Lady Gaga released The Cure ,not only to see the reactions of her fans & media, and give a boost to her JWT,But mostly because she and Interscope wanted to check the reactions on Streaming services. She did well with such a basic track, cute yeah, touching lyrics yeah, but i streamed it only because it was Gaga´s new track and because i was moved by fans´ excitement But i won´t do it again with a basic pop track,´cause i never did in the past . VintageGlam 40
I love so many songs from the Joanne album and think a bunch could have gone #1. A-Yo, Diamond Heart, Just Another Day etc. I also adore Sinners Prayer. It's another album that not many people I know have listened to which is sad. Merman 517
Not sure if off topic or not, but: I believe GGD would be empty or full of raging fans if Gaga released a 'generic pop' album. TBH, I'd like her to release an album/EP with generic instrumentals but with kinda twisted lyrics, shocking fashion and videos. Like what you Sea?
