Arturo 40,746
The only people from my high school I knew that bought music legally bought Mumford & Sons and crap like Lil Wayne :pukey: And of course, country music (I live in the south). Taylor Swift especially since she appealed to redneck girls and non-redneck girls alike. I never heard of people actually BUYING the CD but actually I wouldn't be surprised if a few girls bought "Up All Night" by One Direction considering One direction infection was pretty bad at my school. But since I haven't heard of any cases, looks like I'm still the only one that buys music

She just performed it on Jay Leno, hoping for it to smash It hasn't cracked the Top 200 on Itunes and it has a radio release date of Tuesday July 17th to Mainstream and Rhythmic radio so I think it'll do better then

Cherry 17
Bieber's new song is cute, hope it charts relatively well. He should have released "All Around the World" though :fail:
craig 680
That's what I mean. Older folks aren't as tech savvy. Think about the demographics and how substantial the Baby Boomer cohort is among the population compared to younger cohorts. That is a big market to appeal to. I think it's more that older folks have a connection to physical CDs and the album as preferred formats. Once you decide to get music via the internet, its not that hard to download or torrent illegally. The d--g war did little to reduce marijuana consumption, and reducing the speed limit from 70 to 55mph did little to change actual speeds. I suspect it's the same with music sharing.
