3 dead in the Keys. Why would these people not leave? Authorities said you would be on your own.

Wow, the fake news networks really outdid themselves this time! The sets these reporters are on look so real! They will do anything to keep these liberal hoaxes alive!

My mom was like "we have to leave before the wind and rains get here, we have to go to Jacksonville" :air:

Like that's where the hurricane-force winds are, go northeast somewhere :air:

Tampa Bay area waterways drained by the storm.

Tampa mayor: This will be "what hell looks like"

Tampa hasn't been hit directly by a major hurricane in 90 years apparently.

The wind is really whipping here now. Just got an alert on my phone:

EMERGENCY ALERT:

Tornado warning in this area is in effect until 3:15 PM EDT. Take shelter now. Check local media.

I know that's just going to keep getting extended until the storm passes

Story Highlights

More than 1.5 million homes and businesses are without power as Hurricane Irma nears the Florida Keys.

More than 500 shelters are open across the state as residents shelter from the massive storm.

Roughly one-third of Florida's population evacuated ahead of the storm, according to officials.

There have been non-stop tornado warnings on the treasure coast, so as the storm moves inland you'll likely be proven correct.
