DawnNutella 2,805 Posted September 10, 2017 Share Posted September 10, 2017 I just got a call that my area is under a state of emergency (schools/government businesses closed Monday and Tuesday) because of severe weather. Saying we're supposed to be getting strong wind/tornadoes/flooding. I thought everything was going to miss us. A lot of our town was destroyed and a lot of people killed a few years ago by tornadoes so I get really anxious when we get them. How is everyone doing so far? I have the local weather app and stuff. One came through my neighborhood and the wind was strong enough to cave my garage door in. We spent the last hour or so getting the panels back up into the track and using vice grips to keep them in place. It seems to've worked but I'll be checking it religiously. I'm cold, my hands and arms are covered in cuts from the metal, my grandparents won't stop yelling, and...I'll be honest, I'm sitting in the most inward corner of my pitch black room hearing transformers blow and tree limbs snap as the wind howls just trying to keep it together.
