guys there's another storm after Irma circulating

Mother Nature has some bets to settle with the US :selena:

There's been 3 hurricanes, a somewhat big earthquake, and numourous wild fires all over the states these past few weeks, and those are just the ones that I've seen on my news feed. Mother Nature is truly punishing the US for electing Trump into office tbh :selena:

Looks like the turn is still uncertain because of the bermuda high to the northeast of Irma but if you have anybody in PR or the smaller islands down there, please take cover it's almost a direct hit.

Floridians, prepare too! Hearing stories of gas already running out because of Harvey. Get yourself ready now so when everyone else is scattering, you got all your stuff ready to go.

Be safe, alert, and take care of each other :)

Hurricane IRMA 5/09 Update

hurricane-irma-satellite-0.jpg

 SHORT TERM CARIBBEAN FORECAST

Hurricane Irma is currently moving towards the west at the steady pace of 15mph or just slightly short of 24 kmh. It is steadily intensifying over the warm waters of the east caribbean. It is currently a high end cat 4 hurricane with wind speeds of up to 150 mph or 241 kmh.

The storm is on a direct collision course with the northern leewards islands. This includes Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat, Anguilla, St Kitts and Nevis, Saba, St Eustatius, Saint Maarten, Saint Barthelemy and the British and US Virgin Islands. This is the strongest hurricane in the area since cat 4 hurricane Hugo in 1989.

These will be the first places affected and there is even the possibility of a landfall in the northernmost islands early tomorrow morning. Many of these islands will bear the brunt of the hurricane

The Island of Puerto Rico is also in the direct line of fire and a landfall is possible tomorrow evening.

The island of Hispaniola more specifically the DR are also in the line of fire and a landfall still cannot be discounted, in any case impacts should begin to be felt wednesday night/early thursday morning.

All residents of these ares should take shelter AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. HUNKER DOWN AND STAY SAFE

 LONGER TERM US FORECAST

The long term forecast is still quite difficult to predict. I will spare you all the complicated meteorological reasons why but if you want a more detailed explanation you can ask me. However, the likelihood a florida impact is increasing by the minute, the strength of this impact is yet to be seen.

It all depends on how much north the storm tracks, if it tracks more towards the south it might come in contact with the rough terrain of Cuba and Hispaniola leading it to weaken substantially before curving towards florida. However if it has a more northerly track this would but the storm in the warm waters of the bahamas and allow to possibly even reintesify before impacting Florida. There is even still the possibility for the storm to reach cat 5 status.

In any case all residents of the florida panhandle should begin to prepare for this storm, like I said an impact is likely, the strength of that impact is yet to be seen. Start getting water, nonperishables gas etc ASAP. YOU WILL AVOID THE CRAZY QUEUES AND TRAFFIC JAMS. Also consider evacuating! Your life is worth more than anything!

I will try to update you guys as often as possible and if there is any major changes I will notify you. I am trying to make the language as simple and the info as concise as possible for you to understand. If you have any questions no matter what just ask!!!!

STAY SAFE AND TAKE CARE :kara:
