No lies have been detected in what she said here. *shrug* I get why Gaga wouldn't want to finish a collab with her because of her probably being difficult to work with ... However, there is OLD footage/evidence of R. Kelly peeing on an underage girl. That's an okay person to collab with, Gaga? And if you want to bring up gender into the equation, a "bad attitude" is enough for a woman to get dropped from a collaboration ... But being an alleged rapist (one of which there is actual footage) is a-okay for men (I'm referring to Terry Richardson in this equation as well). Considering all of the "girl power" and progressive stuff Gaga has been saying for a while, I can't help but bring this up. Sorry not sorry. Even the performances of DWUW with R. Kelly were cringey AF. The SNL performance was so try-hard, and the message of the AMAs performance was that both artists have been hit (unjustly) hard by the media. And the little bits we have seen of the music video are just flat-out in the poorest of taste. Listen, I love Gaga, but this is one topic where I have no problems criticizing her. It was dumb to collaborate with R. Kelly. Very, very poor decision on her part. Her not addressing the collaboration at all, in my opinion, makes her efforts with survivors/victims or rape seem a bit disingenuous, especially since ARTPOP happened less than four years ago. At best she dismissed the Terry Richardson allegations for the sake of 'art' and was pushed by her label to collaborate with R. Kelly on DWUW for some press and controversy. That's the nice version where we believe Gaga was innocent in this, but it did seem like she was real chummy and nice with that pervy photographer and that always rubbed me the wrong way.
