LordEnigma 11,313
I like Bedtime Stories but Erotica has Deeper and Deeper which is her best song ever recorded.
Fernster7 7,923
I don't really like any of her albums in full so I say go for the compilations because her best songs are there imo. Monsters never die.

slayo 7,664
Everyone is so quick to say Ray of Light, but it is so different from her other albums that you'll get the wrong impression of her if that's where you start. It'd be best to start with one of her greatest hits albums, either The Immaculate Collection or Celebration (the latter is better imo bc it has more hits). In terms of studio albums, the best and most quintessential "Madonna" is without a doubt Like a Prayer. Make it stupid!
JusKeepBreathin 19,311
Other than Ray of Light, Madonna's Music album probably has the best lyrics in her entire discography. PopTwo 288
I think you should try one album from each decade. I'd recommend True Blue, Ray Of Light, Music, American Life and Confessions On The Dancefloor
