Like she always says when it comes to projects, she fully invests her time and effort on that. If you play a lead role in a movie the schedule is planned from A to Z. Ergo: Joanne era was planned short with originally 3 singles. The Cure is just a filler during that time to keep her attractive for the GP and fans.
