I think that Gaga & her team are actually being deliberate with the schedule in order to mimic. There are ways to artificially create push-pull demand in terms of how things are marketed and sold. You shouldn't heavy up on initial sale releases because you need supporting tactics throughout the duration of a single or album.

There's a reason why advertising media buys are bought in a programmatic manner. You heavy up on initial release (i.e. Coachella & single announcement), then you start waiting until social conversation dies down(i.e. earned media / excitement about a new single lasts for a few days and then you start seeing some drop off in social conversation around it) before pushing paid media (i.e. sponsored content, higher YT or search rankings for a music video or single). 

So, hypothetically, a cadenced media / marketing plan would roughly follow something like this (and it appears Gaga's team has planned for this from early indications of how this single was released.)

Coachella Weekend 1 (Release Single) --> Organic / Earned Media --> Coachella Weekend 2 --> Additional Organic Media from Weekend 2 & Official Radio Add Date [Paid Media should probably start happening around this time if Interscope has planned for it.]
