Sorry, I'm not an English native hahaha I mean, when you are watching a live event on YouTube you can press pause or rewind it, so you are in for examples 5 minutes of difference with the real time. By being a little bit ahead of the real time YouTube has space to load the livestream in great quality, for example, if you lose your internet connection for a few seconds the video won't stop because you have already charged a little bit of it.
